ST. VITAL PUBLIC LIBRARY 6 FERMOR AVENUE ENTRANCE: BOOK RETURN, RECEPTION, SELF-CHECKOUT & PUBLIC WASHROOM Increasing accessibility and meeting contemporary library needs are fundamental to the 2016 building renovation. Accessibility improvements include additional accessible parking stalls with access aisle, new sloped walkway into the building and sliding doors at the Fermor entry. The entry will also have a refreshed vestibule and a new book return. The existing reception desk will be removed and a new desk with barrier-free service area will be provided. Customers will have access to a self-check terminal near the reception area. A Universal Toilet Room (UTR) will replace the existing public washroom adjacent to the entry vestibule. This UTR will meet all requirements of the City of Winnipeg Accessible Design Standards and be open to all customers. The total number of public washrooms in the building will be six.
