Remember In Your Prayers Our men and women in the military: Many of our parishioners have family members serving in dangerous assignments around the world. Please keep them in your prayers. Our Sick: Marcella Ghost, Duncan Lewis, Robert Wyatt, John Tobar, Margaret McGrory, Gail Kotlarek, John Gilbert, Stephanie Burris, Noden Masisak, Jean Hennessey, Linda DeLuccia, Jermaine Williams, Amanda Tees, Helen Amato, Deacon Manuel Baltran, Richard Fieramosca, Dolores Doran, Harry Femea, Florence Colantuono, Barbara Golden, Jermaine Williams, Joan Mundy, Dolores DeBeaumont, Dolores Marion, Erin Wright and all their relatives and friends. Our Deceased: All the deceased members of our parish and their relatives and friends.

The Ladies of the Knights of Columbus would like to thank everyone who helped make the Blood Drive such a success. A total of 38 donations were made, which means that up to 114 people could receive help from those blood donations. All the volunteers who donated their time to help out and all the people who donated blood made this drive a success. Thank you again and God Bless You. The second collection on September 10-11, 2016 will be for the Black and Indian Missions. Your donation allows the Commission to give grants to dioceses across the country to operate schools, parishes, and other missionary services that build the Body of Christ in Native American, Alaska Native and Black Catholic communities. Thank you for your generosity. Experience the “Joy of the Gospel!” Tune into Catholic Radio 1260AM, download the free Domestic Church Media app and subscribe to our podcasts, or listen live online at www.DomesticChurchMedia.org. On September 24th and 25th a representative from Domestic Church Catholic Radio will be visiting our parish with more information and radio schedules.

23rd Sunday in Ordinary Times Labor Day

As we mark the end of summer and pause to reflect on our labor, let us consider how much of our time is spent working at bringing God’s Kingdom to the world, especially in our workplaces. We first must invite Jesus into our own hearts. On this Labor Day weekend, take time to consider how you can make Christ known in your workplace. Our Resource Display makes it easy to draw closer to God and easy to share Him with others. Pick up a CD to listen to on the way to work and then give to someone you work with. Thank you for your generous donations that help to support the Mission of Stewardship: A Mission of Faith and Lighthouse Catholic Media to bring these resources to more parishes.

A Message from the St Vincent de Paul Society

In today’s Gospel, Jesus lays out the demands of following him, the great cost of discipleship. The Mission Statement of the Society of St Vincent de Paul states: “Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice...the Society makes no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.”

Have you considered answering the call to help serve the poor by joining the

Society of St Vincent de Paul? REMINDER:

MASS ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH, WILL BE CELEBRATED AT 9:00 AM IN THE CHAPEL

In observance of Labor Day, the Parish Office will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2016

We wish everyone A Safe and Happy

Labor Day!
