Novena to Saint John Neumann Beginning Tuesday, November 10th, we will pray the St John Neumann Novena for nine consecutive Tuesdays after the 8:30 AM Mass. The Novena will conclude on his feast day—Tuesday, January 5th. If you cannot join us for daily Mass, you are encouraged to say the prayers on your own. The prayers for each week will be published in the parish bulletin and can also be found online at www.staq.org. Week Three: O Saint John Neumann, obtain for me an ardent love of God, that will detach me from the love of created things and from myself, to love Him alone and to spend myself for His glory. Obtain for me also the special favor which I now ask through your intercession with God.
Let us pray O Lord, Who on earth both praised and practiced the hidden life, grant that, in these days of pride and outward display, the humble ways of Your servant, Saint John Neumann, may inspire us to imitate Your divine example. Teach us, O Divine Master, to be like Your servant, the holy bishop, intent on pleasing only You and performing our good actions free from the desire to be seen and glorified by men. That his holy example may influence an ever increasing number of souls, grant, O Lord, the favors we ask through his intercession. Amen. N.B.—Say one Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be to the Father after each day’s prayer.
It is that time of the year again for the St Thomas Aquinas Giving Tree. This year we will be making some changes. Your generous donations will go to support those in need in the parish and the Legacy of Life Foundation, which runs the Community Women’s Center in Bristol.
Registered parishioners in need may call the Parish Office at (215) 788-2989 during the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. You can also submit your information (name, address and telephone number) in an envelope marked “Giving Tree” and place it in the collection basket. All information is strictly confidential.
The Giving Tree will be decorated beginning November 7th through December 13th.
Thank you for your continued support.
