A Message from Our Pastor, Fr. Tim Fairman

Dear Friends, I am happy to announce that Fr. Michael Wanda will be a resident at St. Theresa Parish until June 30, 2018. As such, Fr. Michael will be assisting in the sacramental life of the parish and whatever else he is able to do in the next nine months. Fr. Michael and I were classmates in college seminary and are very good friends. He will introduce himself at all of the Masses on October 7th and 8th after which he will begin his ministry here. Please join me in welcoming Fr. Michael to our parish family! Please read his letter of introduction below. Enjoy the week and God bless you all! —————————————————————————————————- Dear Parishioners, About four years ago, my seminary classmate and very dear friend Fr. Tim began his pastorate at St. Theresa. I remember that at Fr. Tim's installation Mass, as I looked around the church and saw all the parishioners gathered together, I thought St. Theresa would be a great parish to come to someday. So I am very pleased now to be assigned to St. Theresa as a resident priest from October through June, 2018, while I prepare for my next permanent assignment. Coming to St. Theresa is a blessing for me in many ways. Not only will I be able to work with my good friend Fr. Tim, with your very fine other priests Fr. Matt and Fr. Tom, and with your outstanding parish staff, but this assignment will also help me personally. My previous assignment was a source of much stress. I did not handle that stress well and my priesthood suffered for it. But with the full support and help of Cardinal Cupich, I have been able to address my personal struggles, strengthen my commitment to priesthood, and move forward in ministry with renewed hope and vigor. St. Theresa will be my fifth parish assignment after having served at St. Gall in Chicago, St. Louise de Marillac in LaGrange Park, Mary, Seat of Wisdom in Park Ridge, and Divine Infant Jesus in Westchester. Now I look forward to serving St. Theresa, and I ask that you please pray for me as I will for you. May God bless you abundantly, Fr. Michael Wanda

Marian Rosary Devotion—October 2017 Schedule September 25, 2017 Message to Marija "Dear children! I am calling you to be generous in renunciation, fasting and prayer for all those who are in temptation, and are your brothers and sisters. In a special way I am imploring you to pray for priests and for all the consecrated, that they may love Jesus still more fervently; that the Holy Spirit may fill their hearts with joy; that they may witness Heaven and Heavenly mysteries. Many souls are in sin, because there are not those who sacrifice themselves and pray for their conversion. I am with you and am praying that your hearts may be filled with joy.
