I’VE BEEN THINKING The Holiest of Weeks Hosanna! The praise offered Jesus quickly leads to the great days of Eucharist and Passion. As we wave our palm branches of praise let our inner hearts and spirits realize the need to be with Christ Jesus throughout this special week. Be sure to be with us at 7:30 p.m. Adoration continues after the Liturgy and ends with Night Prayer of the Church at 10:30 p.m. Faithful Cross, O Tree so beautiful! On the Friday we call “Good”, we celebrate the death of Jesus Christ for our sins. Can we ever repay the Lord Jesus for such love? ANNUAL GOOD FRIDAY CROSS WALK THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST

MARCH 25, 2016 AT 8:45 A.M.

This solemn pilgrimage will begin with a short prayer ser-vice at St. Monica’s Church, 831 Genesee St, Rochester, NY 14611. Then carrying the cross, we will make 7 stops reflecting on the Seven Last Words of Christ with guest speakers from local organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, Teen Empowerment, St. Peter's Kitchen and the MK Gandhi Institute for Non-Violence. Each stop is followed by a prayer led by preachers and pastors from area Churches. Along the mile and a half route we will stop to pray and “make holy” sites of both violence and hope. This is truly Christianity in action: prayer, consciousness raising, and coming together as one to seek peace, just relationships and healing. Sponsored by GRCC-Faith In Action Network, in collabo-ration with the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester, the faith and community service agencies of 19th Ward Neighbor-hood and Churches from all over Monroe County. Contacts: Rev. Alan Dailey - [email protected] or 254-2570 Susan Howard- [email protected] or 271-7240 Denise Yarbrough- [email protected] or 275-8422
