Dear Parishioners, Our Gospel today has numerous messages of the Good News. Jesus reminds us that whenever two or three are gathered in His name, He is in their midst. For all the times that we gather in Jesus’ name, we know that He is there among us. May we always be reminded of how powerful it is to have Jesus present among us, and that we can so easily turn to Him. Fr. Brandt
It is so beautiful that we complete each other! What we are doing in the slums, maybe you cannot do. What you are doing at the level where you are called—in your family life, in your college life, in your work—we cannot do. But together you and we are doing something beautiful for God. Mother Teresa

Jesus wants all of us to come to Him in the Blessed Sacrament. He is really there in person
waiting just for you. Mother Teresa
Forty Hours Devotions This is a special period of continuous
prayer during which the Eucharist is exposed in a monstrance for
adoration. The devotion begins with a Mass followed by continuous
adoration over a 40-hour period, and it ends with a Mass and Benediction.
In the Bible the number 40 is associated with a sacred period of
time: the rain at the time of the flood of Noah lasted 40 days and nights, and the Hebrews wandered in the
desert for 40 years on the way to the Promised Land. Jesus fasted for
40 days before beginning his public ministry. The devotion was promoted by both Saint Philip Neri and Saint Ignatius of Loyola in the
1500’s. In the United States, Saint John Neumann (1811-1860),
Bishop of Philadelphia, helped spread the devotion.
Sign up for Adoration in Parish Office or call Shawn Marie Brown in the Parish Office at (610) 287-2525 ext. 100.

RITE OF CHRISITAN INITATION
FOR ADULTS (RCIA) Are you ‘coming home’ to your Catholic faith after being away for a while from the Church? Have you received all
Sacraments-Baptism, Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation? Many have learned our faith as children, but we never learned how to apply what we’ve learned into our adult life. Our R.C.I.A. team can help, we’re here for you! It’s never too late to ‘catch up’ and receive sacraments or just learn more about your faith. We meet on Sunday mornings at the Education Center from 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM beginning in the Fall. There are no fees for this class.
NIGHT OF INQUIRY Anyone interested in becoming Catholic or needing to complete the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) are encouraged to attend an informational Night of Inquiry on Thursday, September 28th at 7:00 PM in the Guardian Angel Center of the Education Center. RCIA sessions will take place on Sunday’s beginning on October 1st from 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM. There are no fees for the classes. If interested in joining our group, please contact Deacon Lou Hoelzle at [email protected] or call (215) 882-4136.

Please provide a copy of your wedding photo by email to [email protected] or drop a copy off at the Parish Office. It’s easy enough to make a copy by taking a picture of your photo with a SmartPhone. Also, please RSVP no later than September 27th. Direct questions to Peter Dolan at [email protected] or call (610) 310-4589.

FINDING HOPE IN THE STORM Saturday, September 30th, 7:00 PM
New Hanover UMC, 2211 Swamp Pike Gilbertsville Celebrate Recovery New Hanover UMC
All of us have, in some way, been affected by the heroin/opioid epidemic in our communities. Whether you, or someone you know, are struggling in addiction, have a loved one who is, have lost a loved one, or are in the journey of recovery, we have all been affected. But there is HOPE! We invite you to join us on September 30th, as we turn to the source of that hope – Jesus Christ! Please come out for a night of prayer, praise & worship, learning and testifying, as we find hope in this crisis. No longer relying on ourselves, but instead, relying on our Higher Power and coming together for support.
