In my 29 years as an educator never did I envision walking through a challenge educating children under such circumstances. We have had a great first week as our staff unfolded a new distance learning platform! We have stretched the learning curve, shared our successes, messed up, laughed, and cried all together this week. And most importantly, we have banned together in prayer through text, speaker phone, online daily mass and adoration. Thank you again for walking on this journey with us with your children! #rebelstrong A few important announcements: Round 2 Learning Bag Pick Up mayoccur for your childs grade. This is not necessary for all grades so please just be on the lookout for an email early next week from your teacher. Pick up date will be on Friday, April 3rd if it is needed.

Dear Parents,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! #rebelstrong

A few important announcements:

• Round 2 Learning Bag Pick Up ‘may’ occur for your child’s grade. This is not necessary for all grades so please just be on the lookout for an email early next week from your teacher. Pick up date will be on Friday, April 3rd if it is needed.

Jenny Kerr’s letter cont...

• 40 bags for Lent drop off is a fantastic family field trip and service to our very own St. Vincent DePaul. Please consider filling the brown bag sent home with canned goods to help. (rice, pinto beans and cereal are currently low in stock, too) Drop off is at the church side door near ramp.

• Please know we are all eager to return to school ASAP. The letter I sent earlier this week stated a possible May 8th return date; however, if the restrictions are lifted, we will certainly discuss starting back up sooner. Thank you for your understanding.

• FISH FRY is happening tonight from 5-7pm! It’s delicious so consider a drive thru excursion with the family. There are options including fried shrimp, fried or grilled fish and grilled cheese. It’s a simple way to support our SPX parish that does so much to support our school and plus you may even see Gabby running around with Fr. Pat!

• Plan to join us for our Wednesday 8:15am school mass. We will also be announcing our Virtue Award winners and Honors Assembly after this week’s mass.

Parent homework: If you are on social media, please follow our school page on Facebook and make com-ments on the posts. Stay tuned for our Instagram account as we are working on that, as well. Warm Regards & Big AIR HUGS to all, -Jenny

Can’t spell Pius without US!

We are so blessed to have such support from our St. Pius X Community

A message from Mr. Eric with Abrakadoodle

I really miss the students, so we have created weekly challenges for the students on our Abrakadoodle San Antonio’s Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/abrakadoodleSATX

This will give the children an art project to do at least once a week. Happy creating!

See you soon, Mr. Eric and your Abrakadoodle teachers.
