+ Pastor’s Corner + Who belongs to the heart of God? Everyone who loves is begotten of God and has knowledge of him. The one without love has known nothing of God, for God is love. Love, then, consists in this: not that we have loved God, but that he has loved us and has sent his Son as an offering for our sins.” All people with upright hearts live in the memory of the Lord Jesus. Peter explains in the first reading today, “God does not show partiality, but whatever their race, he welcomes people who worship him and do what is just” (Acts 10: 34 - 35).

How many modern “Centurians” like Cornelius, today, still belong to the heart of God, but do not belong to the Church? And how many Christians, who belong to the Church, find themselves not belonging to the heart of God? Love is the acceptable gift, the acceptable sacrifice the binds us together with God, who sacrificed himself through His Son for our sake.

Today and everyday we celebrate the love of God in our midst! Today, let us honor our young parishioners who are receiving their very first Holy Communion. Today is a very special day for them, for they shall receive the gift of love in a unique way as they “taste and see the goodness and love of the Lord.” In our Faith, we are strengthened in love by the participation of the Holy Eucharist and partaking of his sacrificial love for us by the reception of Holy Communion. May we receive Holy Communion as if it were our First Holy Communion, our Last Holy Communion and our only Holy Communion.

Blesssings and love, Fr.

Bendiciones y amor, Padre Tim

the world today.

2018 Eucharistic Congress Each year the Eucharistic Congress brings together Catholics from across the archdiocese and the country to celebrate the visible, living presence of Jesus in the Eu cha r i s t . A rch b ish op Gregory, Bishop Shlesinger, and Bishop Konzen ask that you join them for this year’s Eucharistic Congress at the Georgia International Convention Center, June 1st and 2nd. The theme of the 2018 Eucharistic Congress comes from John 17:21, “That They May All Be One.” Let’s welcome our brothers and sisters into our hearts. Let’s allow Jesus to transform us, so we can become His hands and feet to go out into the world and spread the Good News.
