WELCOME VISITORS!
We extend a special welcome to anyone who has lots of money or to those who have none; whether you’re single, divorced, engaged, married, widowed. We welcome those who sing like angels and those who just make a joyful noise! You’re welcome here if you’re 1 or 100 or anywhere in between. We welcome those who work too hard or don’t work at all. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps and even if you don’t like ‘organized religion’. This is the place to be. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now and even those who think they don’t need prayer. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts, people who think they don’t need Jesus...and you! Whatever your circumstances today, you’re in the right place! We welcome you! Please fill out a visitor card located in the pew rack and place in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit. If you are a first time visitor, stop by our visitors’ table in the Narthex and pick up our gift to you for worshiping with us today.

SMILE!!
This may not be Candid Camera but it is much more important. Pictures will be taken for our new
directory on the following dates: Monday, November 21, from 1:00 - 9:00, Tuesday, November 22,
from 1:00 - 9:00, November 30, from 1:00 - 6:00 and December 1, from 1:00 - 9:00. The cameras
will be set up in the room just across from the elevator on the lower level and you will be able to
look at the pictures in the room under the stairs. Please check your calendar and plan on being
there on one of these days.
Someone will be in the Narthex after the services today, and on November 6 and November 13 to
make your appointment. Please look for the two tables set up to make appointments. Please be
patient as they can only make one appointment at a time. One is to set up appointments for No-
vember 21 and 22, and one for November 30 and December 1. We truly want everyone to have
their picture and information in this new directory. It is so helpful to have this info handy when
you need it to be able to put a face with a name. Each participating family will receive a directory
and an 8x10 of their directory pose at no cost. You will also have the opportunity to purchase oth-
er pictures if you would like.
Again, please be a part of this important event as it will be helpful to the staff and to you.

You are cordially invited to a Baby Shower for Sydney Babb next Sunday, November 6 from 2

seeing you.
MISSION OPPORTUNITY
Last year, six members of our congregation went to UMCOR Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin,
Louisiana and were blessed to serve for a week. We were not able to coordinate dates for this year
but would like to plan a mission trip next year. If you would like more information or be a part of
a mission team to the UMCOR Sager Brown facility in 2017, please contact Betty Bell or JoeAnn
Coker.
AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS
AARP will host a safe driving class on Tuesday, November 15th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm in the
Mixed Blessings class room. Most insurance companies give a discount for participation. The cost
is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non members and you will pay when you attend the class.
Bring a sack lunch and the church will provide tea and water. Dead line for signing up is Novem-
ber 9th. Sign up sheets will be in the Narthex or you may call the church office.
October is stewardship month and one of the things we are focusing on, is the Food Pantry. We
are asking the congregation to bring 2 items each Sunday and a $1 donation. There will be three
baskets on the altar for the items and money to be placed. At the end of the month, we will cele-
brate all we have given!
October 30 Baby Wipes and All Size of Diapers
We do not need canned food. That is furnished by the Food Pantry.
St. Paul United Methodist Church Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost (Green)
October 30, 2016 11:00 am Rev. Geoff Grubbs, Pastor
Bill Hybels, pastor at Willow Creek Church, says:
“I would rather remind myself that every day is the only day I get to live
real me. So I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit today. I want to love
my enemies today,” Hybels con nued. “I want to do good in this world
and try to reach some people today. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn’t
here yet. The only shot I have is real me.”
I found this to be a great inspira on to me this week, I pray it is to you
also.
Blessings,
Geoff
