Mass Intentions & Readings 28th Sunday
in Ordinary Time
October 10, 2021
Readings and Reflections
First Reading: I pleaded, and the spirit of wisdom came to
me. I preferred her to scepter and throne, and deemed
riches nothing in comparison with her. (Wis 7:78)
Reflect: Today’s reading presents wisdom and prudence as
life’s most precious gifts. Why do you think these virtues
were held in such high regard by ancient Israel?
Psalm: Fill us with your love, O Lord, and we will sing for
joy! (Ps 90)
Second Reading: No creature is concealed from him,
but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to
whom we must render an account. (Heb 4:13)
Reflect: Hebrews connects the power of the word of God
with divine judgement one day we must all “render an
account” of our lives before the Lord. How often do you
think about your own judgement day?
Gospel: “Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor
and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow
me.” (Mk 10:21)
Reflect: Jesus teaches the rich man and the disciples that
while wealth can often hinder one from entering the
kingdom of God, selfsacri9ice and discipleship can earn
eternal life. How well do you balance these realities in your
life?

always advocated public prayer in times of public
tragedy and suffering.”
AmericaNeedsFatimaasks that tens of
thousands of prayer warriors gather to pray the
Rosary for America, for she needs a monumental
miracle of conversion.

Dear parishioners of St. Patrick Co-Cathedral,
Thank you for participating in our Time and Talent Sign Up. We
appreciate you! At this time, we are slowly getting some of our
ministries back up and running. In the meantime, we encourage
the following ministries to complete their Safe and Sacred training.
Once this is completed, you will be contacted for further training
and scheduling: Ushers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy
Communion (parish and homebound), Catechists, Bus
Drivers. To complete this training, required by the Diocese of
Great Falls- Billings, please visit:
https://diocesegfb.safeenvironment.org/login/index.php
Here are a few updates regarding some of our ministries:
Coffee & Donuts: We would like to begin after the 8:00am and
10:30am Mass once per month starting October 17. Responsibili-
ties include: Picking up donuts at Albertsons, preparing coffee,
preparing donuts, collecting donations and clean up. This ministry
will eventually run itself. Each volunteer will be assigned one Mass
per month until we get enough volunteers to do this every week
(hopefully by December/ January). You will receive a contact list
of other volunteers in this ministry. If you are unable to volunteer
during your time, you will need to contact another volunteer to fill
in for you. Please contact Diana
at [email protected] immediately if you are
interested in serving donuts at the 8:00am Mass on the 17th.
Bus Ministry: Our goal is to resume Bus Ministry in November
one Sunday per month at the 10:30am Mass. Responsibilities
include: Filling the bus up with gas, picking up passengers 1-2
hours before Mass, and dropping off passengers. Passengers will
call the parish to confirm pick up once per month . Bus drivers
must contact another volunteer if they are unable to drive for their
scheduled time.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: Once you
complete your Safe and Sacred training, please contact Fr. Leo
for additional training. Once this is finished, you will be placed on
the schedule for Mass times by Brock Boender. Homebound
ministry- Fr. Leo will discuss responsibilities and training with you
once Safe and Sacred training is complete.
Ushers: Once you finish the Safe and Sacred training, email
Brock Boender at [email protected]. From
there, he will place you on the schedule once you complete
additional training. There will be a formal training/ review in the
near future. Keep an eye in the bulletin for dates and times. We
would like to resume taking up the collection.
Sacristans, Lectors, Choir members, Cantors: Contact Brock
Boender to shadow another Sacristan or to schedule training. You
do not need to complete the Safe and Sacred training.
For any questions or comments regarding our parish ministries, do
not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for all you do!
