Ascena Group _ Responsible Leadership 2018 Award

On 12th October, Richa Global won the ascena Responsible Leadership 2018 Award amongst the top 17 ascena Retail Group Inc. Suppliers all over the world. Company was honoured with the award for their outstanding performance in Supplier CSR Ownership, Social Compliance and Environmental Sustainability.

Visit of British High Commissoner_M&S_Gender Equality Programme

On 8th October Richa Global welcomed Sir Dominque Asquith (British High Commissioner of India), Esha Bahal (British High Commissioner for the day) and Nidhi Dua (M&S Country Head), to celebrate ‘The International Day of the Girl Child’ every year they offer young women a chance to be the “High Commissioner for a day” through an innovative initiative. This year Gender Equality being the initiative they selected Richa Global who have been one of the founding partners of M&S Gender Equality Project for the visit and to go through the impact of the said project on the workers & their families/communities life.

Projects & Update Gender Equality Project Phase II Dissemination Program

HERrespect 2nd & 3rd Module Training on Different Communication Styles and Understanding gender norms & relationships was conducted on 1st & 4th September and 20th & 23rd October respectively with all three cohorts.

On 4th October, 2018 Dissemination Seminar of M&S and Superdry sponsored Gender Equality programme took place at The Park Hotel. Seminar was followed by introduction of programme by M&S representative, for panel discussion each factory had their representatives from workers, supervisors and management. Rama, a female Supervisor & Mukesh a Sampling Operator and Mr Dinesh Mehra as Management Representative were selected as panellists to share their opinions on Safe Factory Space, Empowered Factory Workers, Institution Responsiveness and their Overall experience of the program. Project Report was released by representatives of British High Commission, M&S, Superdry and Change Alliance.

Visit_Ascena Team_Yeshwanthpur Unit_Bangalore

On 28th August, 2018 Ascena Retail Inc. team along with Triburg representatives visited Bangalore Yeshwanthpur Unit to explore the opportunity of community philanthropy under ascenaCares program. Ascena Retail Inc. have collaborated with Richa Global to implement a Water Project in the region.

Welfare Activities in the month of September & October Health Camps organised at Gurugram and Bangalore Facilities

Health Check-up Camp by Vijaya Diagnostic Centre was organised in our Udyog Vihar Units. Factory Employees and Workers went through different tests for Blood Pressure, Diabetics and Counselling was done for free while

Body Composition Analyser testing and Bone Mineral Density test was done for subsidised rates of Rs 450.

ESI Health Check – up in collaboration with Ministry of Labour & Employment was organised at our Unit 215

Free Health Check-up camp was organised in our Jigani Unit Bangalore in collaboration with Narayana Institute of Cardiac Science.166 Workers and Employees got their Oral Health Check-up, BP Test, Blood Test, and ECG Test under this initiative. 83 Women had their Breast Cancer Screening and 14 Employees went through Mobile Mammography. Awareness Training on Oral Cancer and Breast Cancer were given to Workers.

Two days Free Eye- Check Camp in collaboration with Lens2home was organised at our ABC Leathers Unit

Welfare Cultural Activities Navmi Pooja and Bhandra _North_Facilities

Every year Richa Global celebrates Navratri by having Navmi Pooja in the facility itself and conducting community lunch for all the workers & employees of the factory. It was conducted in 4 Locations – Delhi, Udyog Vihar (Gurgaon), Manesar and Noida units on 17th & 18th October, 2018.

Dussera Celebration _South India _Facilities

Dussera is celebrated every year with full spirit in both Jigani & Yeshwanthpur units. Games, Pooja and gifts for workers /employees were organised by the facility on 15th &16th October, 2018.
