Dear children and dear parents, beloved brothers and sisters,
A very important moment in the Liturgy is called anamnesis (remembering),
where we remember God’s saving deeds, including those that have not yet
happened in our time. I would like to use this opportunity to remind you of
something that has not yet happened, but it sure will.
God willing, one day, in many, many, many, years… our current students will
be much older than you are now. Their legs will not be as fast and strong as
they are today, and their dancing years will be long gone. Their hands will be
weak and their eyes teary so they will not be able to write and read as they
do now. Their careers will pass, their children will be building new homes
with new people, and they will bring their grandkids to our school. Our faces
will smile on them from the walls, and they will struggle to remember when
was the photo taken and who is in it. However, their soul will be as young
and as vigorous as ever. Their soul, like yours, like everyone’s, is immortal.
And their only chance of good preparation for the everlasting spiritual life is
your life in the Church that Lord Jesus Christ established for our salvation.
Remember salvation!

Dear Families,
Dearest families and friends,
Welcome to our latest edition of the school newsletter.
Each week, as the tasks become harder, the students rise to the challenges
and produce some incredible results in their reading, writing and speaking.
Each and every week, we see students apply their new skills in their work
and walk away smiling knowing, they have achieved a better result in
their spelling or are able to communicate effectively with their peers.
The students are meeting the expectations and more and it is all possible
to the amount of support they are receiving from home and in the
classroom. Without our incredible teachers, Bojana and Mihailo, our parent
helpers, Nada, Aleksandra and Ranka, we wouldn’t be able to offer the best
opportunities for the students, so thank you for all of your time and all
that you do.
Term 4 will resume on Friday 18th October at 6pm for all students. It will
be a busy term as students will be involved in our Sveti Sava Akademija
preparations, assessments for reporting purposes and an exciting new topic
to finish a remarkable year. Please ensure you check your child’s folder each
week for messages, homework tasks or updates about the term.
The teachers will be extremely busy but always have time to answer any
questions you may have about your child’s learning, so please don’t hesitate
to speak with them after our lessons each week.
It seems as though Term 3 flew in a blink of an eye yet so many
achievements were made by our incredible students. All students ended
Term 3 with smiles, a sense of accomplishment and relief as they welcomed
a well-deserved school holiday break.
I would like to wish you all a wonderful start to Term 4 and I look forward to
seeing you all when we return .

SCHOOL FEE STRUCTURE 2019
$100 per one child per term
$160 per two children per term
$220 per three children per term
Children must be from the same family (not
relatives) in order to claim the discounted fees.
HOW TO PAY?
All school fees can be paid in the Church Hall
to Vera Kesic on Fridays. We accept cash
and eftpos and all transactions will be given a
receipt upon payment.
PLEASE NOTE: School fees need to be paid
prior to the end of the term.

Our students are extremely talented and have
represented St Nicholas Orthodox Church
with pride as they perform to the best of their
ability. Here are some highlights of our students
performing at Bonnyrigg Festival in August and
then again at St Sava College in September.
Outstanding performances by all students and
we look forward to seeing them again on stage in
the near future, joined by our smaller groups.
