ST. MARTIN OF TOURS
I’ve spent this past week on vacation with my family. Our family vacations always come with lot and lots of activity and chaos, but almost every night finds us gathered around a campfire. If you were to visit, you’d see me sitting there with a big smile on my face. It brings me great joy to see my family gathered around me, its really the best Father’s Day gifts they could give, the gift of being present. I think many fathers would agree with me, and I have a feeling that our heavenly Father feels the same. This Father’s Day weekend, spend some time being present to the Father by going to Mass with your family, spending the day visiting your earthly father, and enjoying family. After a year of social distancing and isolation, that is the best gift you could give. It sure beats a cheesy tie, or some more grilling tools!

TWELFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME JUNE 20, 2021
We have a great opportunity for middle school youth to give back (youth going into 6th grade through 8th grade). The program is called Love Begins Here. The location is Sacred Heart Parish in Shawano. We have 4 spots available. Registration is $150, your fee is $75. The parish will pick up the other $75. all Middle School Youth
ALTAR SERVERS You may have noticed that we have had altar servers at Mass again. If your child has served in the past and would like to serve again, please use the button below to add their name to the Liturgical ministry schedule. Note that there are tabs along the bottom for each month. With limited Masses available please make allowances for others to serve as well. Please assure your child that Fr. Scott and I will help them walk through everything (especially the bells) so that they will be comfortable.
Pastoral Council There will be three positions open on the parish Pastoral Council starting July 1. Pastoral Council is a community of disciples called together to work in collaboration with the pastoral leader and staff to prayerfully discern and carry out the will of God for this parish; now and into the future. Members faithfully attend meetings where they prayerfully listen and respond to the Holy Spirit and consider what he is calling the parish to be and become. They help organize the lay faithful to realize and carry out the parish mission. Meetings are typically the Second Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 Sept, Nov, Jan, Mar, and May.
Finance Council There will be one position open on the Finance Council starting July 1. Finance Council is a community of disciples who assist the pastoral leader in the wise stewardship of the material gifts entrusted by God to the parish in support of the mission of the parish and the broader Church. Members faithfully attend meetings and prayerfully listen and respond to the Holy Spirit and consider how to fund the parish mission. They review parish financial statements and give input to parish projects. Financial background is helpful, but NOT required. A prayerful and discerning spirit is a more critical attribute. Meetings are typically the Third Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 Sep, Nov, Jan, Mar, Apr, May (June is possible, depending upon the budget process) If you are interested please submit your name to Deacon Todd by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling the parish office.
