HOMEBOUND: For those confined at home,
Extraordinary Ministers bring Holy Communion. If
anyone is not on the regular list, please call the Rectory.
PARISH MEMBERSHIP: To be considered
active members of St. Margaret of Cortona and St. Gabriel
Parish, each family and single adult must be properly
registered and regularly use the weekly donation
envelopes for our parish. This is the only way the parish
can issue documents attesting to parish membership
and Catholic practice (e.g. A LETTER TO BE A
GODPARENT OR SPONSOR. Newly registered
parishioners must be registered & use envelopes for at least 6
months before a Sponsor Letter can be issued.). New
parishioners are requested to visit the parish office.
ENVELOPE SYSTEM: To assist us in keeping
accurate records of your contributions, we request that
you use the weekly envelope system. This enables us to
verify your donations should it be necessary for tax
purposes. Please notify the Rectory if you change your
address.

Catholic Campaign for Charity and Justice.

THANKSGIVING FOOD
BASKETS FOR THE NEEDY
Your generous spirit enables us to
distribute food baskets at
Thanksgiving and again at
Christmas. Personal
contributions to purchase fresh vegetables,
fruit, and pies may be left at St. Margaret’s
Rectory or in the collection basket. Turkey
donors Please bring turkeys for Thanksgiving to
St. Margaret’s Rectory this Sunday or Monday,
November 18 and 19. Food baskets will be
distributed on Tuesday, November 20th.

TABLE SHARE collection this weekend,

need for: Turkey gravy, Stovetop
stuffing, Cranberry or Apple sauce.

Workbooks for the 2019 Liturgical Year, are now
available in the Lady Chapel at St.
Margaret’s and in the Sacristy at St.
Gabriel’s. All Lectors, please take a copy home
with you today.
THE RE CTORY
OFFICES will be closed
this Thursday and Friday for
Thanksgiving. The office at
St. Margaret’s will reopen on
Saturday at 9:00 AM. We wish all our parishioners
and visitors a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Our Parish Thanksgiving Mass will be
offered on Wednesday evening at 7:30. You
& your loved ones are invited. It is always a
very delightful & prayerful celebration. Plan
on coming.
Masses on Thanksgiving Day will be offered at St.
Margaret’s at 8:30 AM and at St. Gabriel’s at 9:00
AM. There will NOT be an 8:30 AM Mass at St.
Margaret’s on Friday, November 23rd.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS
FOR THE
AREA NURSING HOMES
At our annual Christmas parties, our parishioners give
gifts to more than 200 residents at Parkview
Gardens, & more than 200 residents at Riverdale
Manor. Additional gifts are given to Christian residents
at the Hebrew Home. Your kindness makes this
possible. Needed are giftwrapped presents of anything
you find suitable: toilet articles, lap blankets, costume
jewelry are favorites for residents in the nursing homes.
Hooded sweatshirts, hats, gloves, tee shirts, perfume,
body lotions and colognes are great for Riverdale
Manor residents. Who spend a lot of time outdoors.
Please mark the gift “man” or “woman” and indicate
what it is. We will collect gifts on Saturday and
Sunday, November 24 and 25.. You bring joy to so
many!
