VERITAS NIGHT 2019—A FREE PRE-ACYF LOCAL EVENT
VERITAS NIGHT 2019 is a Catholic youth fes"val
style event which will be held on the 9th August
(Friday), 6pm at John XXIII College, Claremont.
Last year over 900 young people a!ended the
event from across Western Australia. This year,
the event will run for one night only as a momentum builder
event for the Australian Catholic Youth Fes"val, with
Archbishop Costelloe and Bishop Don in a!endance.
The night will include music, dance, food, prayer, keynote
speaker and tes"mony by young people.

National Vocations Awareness Week
Today is the feast of St John Vianney, the
patron of parish clergy. Pray for your priests
today in thanksgiving for their ministry and presence in
your community. Next Thursday is the feast of St Mary of
the Cross McKillop, our first Australia saint. Pray for the
religious who do so much in pastoral care, education,
health care and many other ministries. Pray also that
these saints may inspire many vocations to consecrated
life and priesthood, especially from your community.
