January 14, 2018 – 2nd Sunday of Ordinary Time

Dear friends,

This coming Thursday, we will kick off our "Come & See" program for those looking to deepen their relationship with Jesus and the Church. The program will focus on coming to know the Lord better and walking in a closer relationship with Jesus through the Word and the Church. The course will run from this week until Easter, when those who participate who are not Catholic may choose to enter the Church fully. If you know someone who would like to grow in their relationship with Christ and is considering becoming Catholic, bring them to St. Luke's this Thursday evening, at 6:30pm. All are welcome - newbies and cradle Catholics alike! This could be the opportunity for you to grow as we approach this year's Easter celebrations.

In God's Peace, Fr. Austin

LITURGY & WORSHIP

WELCOME TO THE PARISH OF ST. LUKE! We

welcome all newcomers to our church, and to all those

who are visiting with us today, we hope you enjoy your

time united in faith and worship with us. Our Parish is

united with Our Lady of Hope Church in Dundalk as

part of a Pastorate in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. If

you would like to join our family of faith by registering,

please stop by the sacristy after Mass or give us a call at

the Parish offices during the week.

If you would like to share your faith with your child in the

waters of Baptism at St. Luke, please contact the Parish Office

for information on the preparation process. We are happy to

celebrate this Sacrament of faith at any Mass or on the First

Saturdays of each month. Call 410-284-6600 for more

information.

Couples who are looking to celebrate the Sacrament of

Matrimony should contact a priest or deacon at least six (6)

months prior to a desired wedding date. Marriage preparation

is a joyful time to plan for the success of your life of love

together.

If you or someone you love is homebound or hospitalized due

to illness or physical difficulty, we have Pastoral Visitors who

happily bring Holy Communion to you. Also, you can have a

priest visit for Confession or the celebration of the Sacrament

of the Sick (Anointing) at any time. If you are ever

hospitalized or are going in for surgery, feel free to request the

Sacrament of the Sick for spiritual strength and healing. Fr.

Greg and Fr. Austin are happy to help!

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available

every Saturday from 4:30 to 5:00pm, prior to the 5:30pm

Mass. Also, you can arrange an appointment with one of the

priests at any time during the week, at your convenience.

Inclement Weather Policy: For the safety of our

community, when Baltimore County schools are closed

or delayed, there will be NO daily Mass at either St.

Luke or Our Lady of Hope. This does not apply to

weekend Masses, nor does it mean that our offices are

closed. If you have any question about our availability,

please call the office to check before venturing out.
