The Zoo is currently landlocked and in order for the Zoo to function more
efficiently, to grow, and to maintain its world-class status, it needs
additional space to expand.
Why Expand?
Potential program expansion includes:
animal exhibit space
veterinary / animal nutrition support
zoo operations
administrative services
facilities for research and conservation

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Saint Louis Zoo and we
want to be sure that we do this RIGHT.
Your input is a critical step in this process. The Saint Louis Zoo and its
consultant team realize that the acquired property offer new
opportunities for expansion and for adding greater value to the
surrounding neighborhoods, Forest Park, the City of St. Louis, and the
St. Louis region.
