ST. LAWRENCE SCHOOL “His Banner Over Us Is Love” Dear St. Lawrence School Families, Our Christmas Concert on Thursday was such a beautiful way to celebrate the holiday season! I want to thank Mr. Laird for working with our students to create such a wonderful concert for everyone who attended. Since our evening performance was canceled last week due to the inclement weather, we will be providing you with another opportunity to see the concert before our Christmas Break. The final Christmas Concert Performance will be this Thursday, December 22nd at 1:00 PM in St. Lawrence Church. I know that many of you were looking forward to having your children dress up for this concert, so Thursday will be a dress up day for all students. We will also have a dress up day during our Friday half day as planned for our Christmas mass. We are excited to give our students two opportunities this week to dress up and look their best! I am happy to announce that our school was once again in the news! This time we were featured on the News 8 Honor Roll for our Giving Tree Outreach Project. I would like to thank Ms. Layer for putting this story together and sharing it with News 8. I also want to thank Christine Kennedy for taking the beautiful pictures of our students that were featured in this story. A special thank you to Ms. Cilano and Ms Fraser for their excellent writing and Ms. Toscano, Ms. Lathrop, and all of the other teachers who helped with the photo shoot. Wednesday, December 21 st is the last day to bring in donations for our Giving Tree Outreach Project. All of the new hats, gloves, scarves, and socks that were donated by our families will be brought to a local Rochester City Elementary School for children in need of warm clothing during this holiday season. I would like to thank our Outreach Committee Members: Ms. Cilano, Ms. Fraser, Ms. Spencer, and Ms. Battaglia for organizing this wonderful project. I especially want to thank everyone who donated an article of clothing for these children. It has been absolutely amazing to see our Giving Tree fill up throughout the Advent season! Our Marketing Committee has been working on strategies for spreading the word about the amazing program we have here at St. Lawrence School. Please visit the Marketing Committee Page on our school website to see the minutes from our meeting last week. Thank you so much to our Marketing Committee Members for all of your hard work and commitment to our school! Our school had such a great time shopping at Santa’s Secret Shop last week! It was so wonderful to see the joy on the students’ faces as they took the time to pick out a gift for their family members and friends. Thank you so much to Leslie Deutsch and all of her committee volunteers for making this event possible! Our Preschool Pageant will be Wednesday at 9:00 AM in Deacon Hall. We are looking forward to seeing our preschool students share the story of the birth of Jesus! I want to thank Ms. Eichas and Ms. Agness for working with our preschoolers to create this absolutely beautiful show. St. Lawrence School’s Preschool Program for the 2017-2018 school year will be expanding. We will be offering full and half day sessions as well as a wrap around program for both our three
