The guidelines in which the parish's religious education program oper-ates includes memorizing certain prayers by each grade level, then praying them often enough so that they are never forgotten. By grade level, these prayers include: Kindergarten: The Sign of the Cross, The Glory Be, and Angel of God; First Grade: Hail Mary, Our Father, and Grace before and after meals; Second Grade: Act of Contrition; Third Grade: (No new ones for third!); Fourth Grade; Confiteor, Nicene Creed, Holy, Holy, Holy, and Lamb of God; Fifth Grade: Apostles Creed, Rosary, Memorare; Sixth Grade: Acts of Faith, Hope, and Love; Seventh Grade: Morning Offering; Eighth Grade: (No new ones for eighth!) Al saberlo la gente, lo siguió por tierra desde los pueb-los. Cuando Jesús desembarcó, vio aquella muchedumbre, se compadeció de ella y curó a los enfermos. Como ya se hacía tarde, se acercaron sus discípulos a de-cirle: “Estamos en despoblado y empieza a oscurecer. Despide a la gente para que vayan a los caseríos y compren algo de com-er”. Pero Jesús les replicó: “No hace falta que vayan. Denles ustedes de comer”. Ellos le contestaron: “No tenemos aquí más que cinco panes y dos pescados”. Él les dijo: “Tráiganmelos”. Luego mandó que la gente se sentara sobre el pasto.
