Thank you for your continued support & your kind generosity. A special thank you for your generosity for the Mission in Thailand.

Pictured from left to right: Fr. Christopher Dobson 1st Councilor, Father Benedict Jurchak, 3rd Councilor, Very Rev. Richard Davis, Minister Provincial, Fr. Malachi Van Tassell, Vicar Provincial, Fr. Joseph Lehman, 2nd Councilor, Fr. Richard Eldredge, 4th Councilor.

Peace and good! As you know, the friars of the Franciscan Third Order Regular, Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus gathered in Loretto, Pennsylvania from July 13 - 17, 2015 for a Provincial Chapter of the Whole. During the Chapter, the friars reflected upon and discussed the essential elements of their lives:

Franciscan penitential spirituality; Celebration of sacramental life as friars; Prayer and fraternal life in the local/regional communities; Formation and ongoing formation of the friars; Ministries which they are called to as a community, etc.

During the Chapter, the friars elected their Provincial leadership for the next four years. Over the next month, the Provincial leadership will meet to discuss Provincial and ministerial assignments for the friars. The assignments of the friars will most likely be effective in late August and early September. We will keep you updated regarding the assignment of a new parochial vicar here at Saint Joseph Parish. Fathers Alberto, Chris, and I wish to thank you for your prayers and support during our Provincial Chapter. Many blessings!
