PARISH SEDER MEAL: The Seder Meal traditionally marks the beginning of Passover, the remembrance of Israel’s flight from Egypt. It is called Passover because, by the sprinkling of the blood of the lamb, the Destroyer of the firstborn would pass over the houses of Moses and his people sparing them. The Seder was celebrated annually from that point forward by the Jewish faithful. Jesus, being a faithful Jew, celebrated Passover every year in Jerusalem. He used His final Seder Meal as an opportunity to teach His disciples and institute the Eucharist which He wants His Church to celebrate until His return. Our Seder Meal will show how both of the ancient meals, so similar yet so different, relate to each other and how we participate in the story at each and every celebration of the Eucharist. JoinusApril12th(WednesdayofHolyWeek),at6:00p.m. in the Church Hall for a Seder Meal celebrating both our Jewish Roots and our Christian Traditions. Please use the slip below to RSVP by Wednesday, April 5th, and place in the collection basket; or call or e-mail the church office with the same information. You must RSVP in order to participate.
Parish Seder Meal Reservation: RSVP by April 5th.
