Let us bring the training to your classroom instead of oursOn-site training is lower in cost than our scheduled courses, can be tailored to your needs and attendees do not have to travel.

Demand is very high for training on INSET days so please enquire early for these dates.

First aid for SchoolsEvery year, 150,000† people die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. Even so, fewer than one in 10 people have been trained in first aid. We want every young person to have the opportunity to learn basic life saving skills at school.

As well as providing the ability to be the difference between life and death, learning first aid at a young age helps to build confidence and self esteem as well as teamwork and communication skills. First aid and health and safety learning can also help you to meet National Curriculum requirements and outcomes of the Every Child Matters framework.

Courses for school staffSt John Ambulance run over 17,000 training courses around the country to support teachers’ First aid and Health and safety training needs.

We can also come to your school to deliver courses for all teachers and staff to help you meet your statutory first aid requirements as well as to provide you with advice and guidance on how to deliver first aid training to your pupils.

The courses we offer for teachers and the wider school workforce include:

• Schools First Aid• Paediatric First Aid• Anaphylaxis First Aid• First Aid at Work (HSE)

• Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE)

• Activity First Aid• Sports First Aid• Fire Marshal (IFE)

• Risk Assessment (BSC)† Death registration data from the Office of National Statistics, 2008 for England and Wales.
