St. James Parish — Fifth Sunday of Easter Faith Moment Reflection We are each unique – with our own talents, our own experiences, our own opinions. But we are also part of something larger, something greater than each of

us. We are part of God’s family. In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us “I am the vine, you are the branches.” He means each of us – the branches – are meant to bear fruit in our own unique way to further the Kingdom of God – the vine. But we can't do it alone. We need to cooperate, each of us using our God-given talents to work together on His behalf. Just like the branches are interwoven and dependent on the vine, so are we intercon-nected and in need of God’s support. God will nourish and guide us. And we can look to Jesus as our example. As Jesus reminds us, “A branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine. So neither can you.”

—Provided by Christ the King Seminary, E. Aurora, NY

Faith Formation will be hosting Coffee Hour in the parish hall this Sunday, April 29th after the

8 & 11 a.m. Masses. Join us for coffee, donuts and fellowship!

The Benefits in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: “When you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you. When you look at the Sacred Host, you understand how much Jesus loves you now. This is why we need Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in every Parish throughout the entire World.” —St. Mother Teresa’s Reflection We have Adoration here at Our Lady of Victory chapel on weekdays and need help covering one hour: Mon. 11am-12pm, Thurs. 9-10am & Fri. 10-11am. Please call the rectory at 487.0125 if you can help. We also welcome additional help during other hours the sacrament is exposed. Chapel Hours: M, T, Th 9am-2pm; W 9am-9pm; and F 9am-12pm. Will you sit with our Lord for one hour?
