CAFOD (St Helen’s) pray-fast-give CAFOD’s “Hands On” programme supports specific community programmes, largely funded through individual regular donors. In the high plains of Bolivia one of the projects is providing a water tank, greenhouse, vegetable garden and wormery. These have moved families from subsistence and dependence to surplus and dignity.

Thank you so much for your exceedingly generous response to the Family Fast Day over the past two weeks. Last week’s donations totalled an incredible £459

FRIENDS OF ST. MARY’S: Fish & Chip Supper on Saturday, 20th October, Parish Hall, Little Crosby, 7 pm prompt for Supper at 7.15 pm. St Helen’s Crafty ladies Have begun meeting on Mondays at 1.00pm in St Helen’s parish centre. Over the coming weeks they will be making goodies for the Christmas Fair. Donations of the following will be gratefully accepted: China cups and saucers , small baskets , unwanted gift sets, silk flowers. Thank you for all that has been donated so far.

the Archbishop telling us about the Synod

and about how we can get involved. The

Archbishop will also tell us why he has

decided to call a Synod. A special leaflet has

been prepared which you will be able to get

next weekend. Please keep the Synod in your prayers.
