    MARTHA'S CUPBOARD (NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM)

    Saint Haralambos Sunday School is excited to announce the initiation of a food pantry. The purpose

    and goal of this pantry is to collect and supply food items to those less fortunate throughout the year.

    We wish to make this a community project to include participation from all our parishioners. How can you

    help? By bringing nonperishable food items to church each Sunday so that we may begin stocking our pantry.

    Items may be dropped off in the pantry (across from the bridal room) or the Sunday School office.

    This will be an ongoing, continuous outreach program. In order for it to succeed, we need help and support from our entire community. We accept and would be grateful for monetary donations to get this valuable

    outreach program up and running.

    Thank you for your support and God bless.

    TODAY IS NATIONAL CHURCH MUSIC SUNDAY!

    Of the Church As a pillar unshaken of Christs holy Church, and lamp ever-burning to all the

    world you emerged, O wise Haralambos; in all the world you shined, with the

    martyrdom you suffered, you dispelled the dark night, of the idols, O blessed;

    whence, with courage do intercede, to Christ that we may be saved.

    O protection of Christians unashamable, mediation to the Creator immovable,

    Despise not, the pleading voices of those in sin, but hasten O good one, to the

    help of all of us, who in faith cry out to you: Speed up your intercessions, and

    press on your supplication, O Theotokos who always protect, all those who

    For the Devout Man. Mode pl. 4. In you, O Father, is preserved undistorted what was made in the image of God; for

    taking up the cross, you followed Christ and by example taught, that we should over-

    look the flesh, since it passes away, and instead look after the soul, since it is immor-

    tal. And therefore, O devout Romanos, your spirit rejoices with the angels.

    The Gospel According to St. Luke Chapter 6:31-36

    Brethren, you are the temple of the living

    God; as God said, "I will live in them and

    move among them, and I will be their God,

    and they shall be my people. Therefore come

    out from them, and be separate from them,

    says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean;

    then I will welcome you, and I will be a fa-

    ther to you, and you shall be my sons and

    daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

    Since we have these promises, beloved, let

    us cleanse ourselves from every defilement

    of body and spirit, and make holiness per-

    fect in the fear of God.
