Oración a San Miguel Arcángel Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

ARE YOU A REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE PARISH?
Have you registered? Registration is very important, is a statement of your desire to be members of a Catholic community and a commitment to the life of this parish. Being a registered member of the parish will ease the process when it’s time to ask for a Baptism, Religious Education, Weddings, when they ask you to be a sponsor, godfather or godmother; or at the occasion of illness or death.
Often, people ask for letter of affidavit and those can only be provided to members who are registered, active, and contributing to the parish. How
do you know if you are registered? A registered member receives correspondence from the parish. If you're not, please register. Our registration process can be completed anytime the office is open.

Psalms: Prayers from God
At the heart of the Bible are the Psalms, prayers from God that help us learn to pray. The Holy Spirit inspired them. Israel sang them. Christ himself prayed them, as did our Blessed Mother. These sacred hymns became our heartfelt response to God’s loving and wondrous deeds for us. Their words draw us into a deeply personal encounter with God. St. John the Evangelist in Streamwood invites you to join us as we present Psalms: The School of Prayer, a video-based study by noted Scripture Scholars Jeff Cavins, Sarah Christmyer, and Dr. Tim Gray. It’s not too late to join us, come next Tuesday, February 27, from 7:00 -9:00 P.M. in the school annex. There are eleven sessions scheduled. Additional information along with a registration form and schedule may be found on our parish website at www.mystjohns.org under Education Ministries. This is an opportunity to spend the Lent of 2018 exploring and meditating on these sacred hymns that are used throughout the liturgical year to inspire, to comfort, and to love. Please plan on joining us.
