PRESIDENT’S MESSAgE
Dear Fellow Parishioners,Finally the gorgeous summer weather we had been antici-pating through the long, hard winter has arrived. Junefound us celebrating endings and new beginnings. Congrat-ulations to our high school graduates!! They are ready tomove on to a new chapter in their lives. We wish them muchsuccess in their new endeavors. Sunday School classesended in May but June found a new program and a new be-ginning with our first ever Summer Sunday School Program. The children and teachers got it off to a great start!
And once again, June found us seriously beginning ourpreparations for Glendi. Cooking is in full swing. By thetime you receive this newsletter dolmades, keftedes andstuffed peppers will have been prepared and stored in thefreezer—thousands of them. Many hands make the worklight!! See the cooking calendar elsewhere in this bulletinand consider yourselves invited to help! It’s the perfect op-portunity to lend your Time and Talents to our efforts tomake Glendi a great success.
It’s not too late to purchase an ad for the ad book. Haveyou asked the people you do business with to purchase one, too? The more the merrier!! More ads = More profit.
We are still looking for a Chairperson for the Mini-Raffle.We have people who are willing to work but we need some-one to be in charge of this profitable booth for Glendi.
Our Stewardship Program is in full swing, also. Have you re-turned your Pledge Card? You don’t need to make your pay-ment yet but we need to know how much you are willing tocommit so that we can plan.
At the June Board of Directors Meeting Father Andrew an-nounced his intention to retire effective August 24. Al-
though we are saddened to hear that he is leaving us wecan fully understand his desire to move closer to his chil-dren. We’ll keep you posted on plans to bid him farewelland wish him well on the new chapter in his life.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer! Let’s enjoy the warm weather while we can.
Sincerely,Nikki Moutsioulis
