CONFESSIONS:Confessions will be heard on Saturday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00.Confessions will be heard on Sunday morning immediately after the 8:00A.M. Mass and immediately after the 9:30 A.M. Mass. Confessions mayalso be heard by appointment with one of the priests.

BAPTISMS:The Sacrament of Baptism will be administered after the 11:30 A.M. Masson every Sunday, with the occasional exception of some Sundays in theyear. Parents with sponsors should be at Church by 12:45 P.M.All registered parents of St. Francis Xavier Parish who wish to present achild for Baptism are required to attend a Pre Jordan class. Pre Jordanclasses are held one Friday evening per month (usually the first Friday ofthe month but not always) Parents must call the parish office duringweekday business hours to check upcoming dates for Pre Jordan classesand to pre-register for the Pre Jordan session they will attend. For thebenefit of all attending these sessions, parents should make arrangementsfor a baby sitter for the time period they as parents will be present at thesession. After having fulfilled the Pre Jordan class requirement, Baptismarrangements can be made. These arrangements must be made at leasttwo weeks prior to the Baptism date.

MARRIAGES:Archdiocesan policy requires that couples planning to marry contact theparish at least six months before the intended marriage date. All couplesare now required to attend the Archdiocesan pre-marital instructions inpreparation for marriage.

COMMUNION CALLS:Holy Communion is distributed to sick and shut-in parishioners once amonth. Any sick and shut-in parishioner who wishes to receive communion,please call the parish house.

ORATORY PRAYERJoin the Oratory Community each Monday through Friday from 5:10 to 6:00P.M. in Church for this holy hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.Oratory Prayer includes time for meditation on the Sacred Scripture,intercessory prayers and litanies, as well as hymns and silent prayer.

SECULAR ORATORYThis group of young adults meets every Tuesday at 7:30 P.M., for prayers,reflection on the scriptures, and fellowship. Its orgins are in the group ofyoung people who met daily with St. Philip Neri, who founded theCongregation of the Oratory.

VOLUNTER CCD TEACHER NEEDED

CCD needs a volunteer teacher for its 4th Grade. CCD meets every Wednesday, from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. from September until early May. If you are interested, teaching experience is not necessary – you will receive a Manual to guide your classroom teaching. You need to be a practicing Catholic. HERITAGE OF FAITH – VISION OF HOPE UPDATE Thank you for your faithful contribution to the Archdiocesan Heritage of Faith Campaign. The campaign began in the fall of 2009 and was completed in the fall of 2014. This campaign has enable us to provide funds toward our initial goals of new front doors on the Church, repairs to our Church pipe organ, tuition assistance, renovation of the church vestibule and repointing and repair to the façade in front of the Church, Parish and Oratory House. We desire to further modify our original case proposal to address the replacement of the Church boiler. The existing church boiler was replaced in 1985. The cost of demolishing the existing boiler and installing the new boiler with new burner and all required safeties is $50,500.00. Chadwick Service Company who has been maintaining our heating system is installing the new boiler system in the Church. As you are aware, St. Francis Xavier Parish is on a carefully planned budget for regular operating expenses so that when an emergency arises it is a struggle to come up with the required funds. Because of your generosity, there are still funds available in the Heritage of Faith Fund in the amount $9,099 to put toward the new boiler In your St. Francis Xavier monthly envelopes packet starting November, there will be an additional envelope titled “St. Francis Xavier Boiler Fund”. It would be sincerely appreciated, if you can contribute to this fund. . Contributions to date total $6,050.00. Thank you.
