Daily Readings and Mass Inten ons
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
One of the things I have no ced as I talked to people about their Coronavirus experience is that there is a deeper appre-cia on for their family. Because families were locked down together without a lot of the distrac ons that so o en complicate our lives, people have been more aware of each other and their love for each other.
Father’s Day is a day when we focus on the responsibility of the fathers of our par-ish community. It is a day when we can say a special thank you to our fathers for all they do for their family and our Community.
In the name of Father Buckley, Deacon Joe Windish, Deacon Joe Owen, our staff and myself I extend a “Happy Fathers Day” to the fathers of our community. I commend you for teaching, living and passing your Catholic Heritage on to your children. Our Catholic faith is a gi that helps us throughout our life as it guides us to heaven. Teaching your children to live in rela onship with God is one of the most important gi s you can give them. Our first reading this Sunday reminds us that our God is always with us to protect us so we do not stumble. In other words He is a Father to us. The second reading Con nued Page 2

explains that in His Fatherly love for us, God sent His Son Jesus as a gi to save us from sin and open heaven for us. And finally our Gospel tells us not to be afraid because we mean so much to God, our Father that He will always be there for His Children.
Father’s Day not only gives us a chance to thank our earthly Father for all He does for us, it also gives us an opportunity to thank God for being our Father. Msgr. Powell

RESPECT LIFE GROUP AT ST. CYRIL MONTH 5~ MOMMY FELT ME KICK
Your spiritually adopted baby weighs over one pound now, and his mother can feel his
movement. Before this me he was too small for her to feel. Although he swam with ease in his watery world, he needed to be big and strong enough to kick hard against the outside wall and dent it-- the inside wall of the uterus has li le feeling. We are mid-way through the pregnancy now. Your prayers have helped your baby’s mother con nue with her pregnancy and seek the help she needs.

Walking with Purpose -
Enabling Women to Know Christ through
Scripture
Beholding His Glory- the study of Christ revealed in the Old Testament
Do you desire to grow in your Catholic faith? Would you like to connect with other women in our parish community? Do you feel that you are doing so much, but none of it very well? We invite you to consider joining Walking with Pur-pose this Fall at St. Cyril of Jerusalem. Weekly group sessions are star ng on Thursday evening September 10, 2020 at 7:30PM, in St. Cyril's Social Hall. This year we will study “Beholding His Glory" This though ul 6-week study shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As we look at Old Testament people and events, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will sa sfy, and promises that only He can deliver. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s plan for our own lives, His awe-inspiring majesty, and His de-sire for personal in macy with each one of us. Registra on forms are available in the Nar-thex. The cost is $28.00 which includes the materials for the 6 weeks. Please register by August 1st so the materials will be available for week 1. Walking with Purpose is a women’s Catholic Bible study that aims to bring women to a closer rela on-ship with Christ. We welcome all women, irrespec ve of faith, background, age, or marital status. We are a suppor ve community of women seeking las ng trans-forma on of the heart through bible study. Each week through personal study and small group discussions, we link our everyday challenges with the solu ons giv-en to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catho-lic Church. Are you looking for an added dose of spir-itual nourishment, connec on and communi-ty? Please join us. Interested in learning more? For ques ons contact Nancy Devlin @ 215-805-3757 or email her at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you.

CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK AND ALL ILLNESSES
We will continue to be dispensed by the Archbishop from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation until further notice.
Those who are sick or compromised due to health conditions are not to come to church.
We will continue to live stream Mass on Saturday evening at 530pm. The link will be on our website www.saint-cyril.com and will be available all day Sunday.
We will follow our regular Mass schedule 530pm vigil and 8am-10am and noon on Sun-
day. Daily Mass at 9am will resume on Monday June 8th in the mmain church.
All areas of the church will be sanitized routinely. Doors will be kept open before and after Mass. Doorknobs and handles will be sanitized after every Mass.
Everyone (except those 2 years of age and younger) attending Mass is to wear a face covering or mask throughout the celebration of Mass, except for the reception of Holy Communion. The face covering or mask should be removed for the reception of Holy Communion. Holy Communion will only be given in the hands.
Social distancing should be observed between members of different house-holds. Members of the same household (such as families) do not need to observe social distancing among themselves and may sit together as normal. Gatherings of members of the congregation are not to take place before or after Mass for any reason. As people arrive to church, they are to go immediately to their place. We ask that you keep some distance in the Communion procession and when returning to your place. An easy way to do this is to keep several pews between yourself and the person in front of you.
NEW We will temporarily suspend the offertory procession, the sign of peace and water in the holy water fonts. We will not have the hymnals in the pews. We will have single file lines for communion. We will have hand sanitizer available in the re-strooms and in the back of church.
Collection baskets will be available in the back of church. Please put your donation in before mass.
