MEMBERHIP CAMPAIGN IN FULL EFFECT With our new quota being set at 164 new or re- enrolled Members, our Membership Drive is in full effect. We need to average 14 new or re-enrolled Members per month to make our goal. As of June 12 th we had signed up 13 new Members. That puts us a little behind. Let’s get busy and promote Membership in the greatest Fraternity known to man. In our current Lodge Campaign we are giving away a $25 Visa Gift Card to someone from our 15 Board. When a board is full we will draw a name from the 15 Sponsors, that person will win the gift card. At the end of August we will put everyone, who has sponsored a Member into a drawing for a prize to be determined. Secure yourself a place(s) in this drawing by signing up a Member. This is in addition to the IMA giving away 8 Life Memberships this year and all of the Moose International incentives. Moose International is continuing the “Sign-up 2 get a free Years Dues” this year also. Help us reach our goal by fulfilling the promise you made when you became a Member, to actively promote Membership into our Lodge and Fraternity. ST. CHARLES MOOSE RIDERSIf you weren’t at the Lodge on Sunday, May 22nd,

you missed out on seeing our Mooseheart Class of 2011receive their laptops and printers. The laptops and printerswere provided by your very own Moose Riders and Ridersfrom 58 other Lodges in 18 states! It’s been four years sincethis started at our Lodge and it has grown and continues togrow. We would like to acknowledge our top five essaywinners: 1st place - Amber Chandler, 2nd place - AkeemEdmonds, 3rd place - Katie Stryker, 4th place - Ashley

Molina and 5th place - Jordan Holler. Congratulations tothis year’s two National Honor Society members AaronPalmer and Norma Tejeda. We’d like to thank ourGovernor, Rick Miller and our Past Governor(and newestPilgrim) Dick Barr for cooking up the burgers and dogs, andMary Fox and Ardy Olech for whipping up the fantasticsalads for the class.

Saturday, June 4th we met at 7:00am at the Lodgeto prepare 200 box lunches for the Wounded Warrior Ride.The Lodge provided the fixins’ and we were able to preparethe sandwiches and pack all the boxes quickly, because webanded together to get this done. We loaded them into “thebus” and headed out to make delivery by 9:15am. Wearrived ahead of schedule and were able to see the cyclistsreturning from their ride. We would like to thank everyonewho came to help on such short notice: Kris Barr, LizaChamberlain, Kay Dallman, Paul Fortman, Katie Jackson,Bill Joeckel, Denise Koutselas, Curt Kurin, Rick Miller, BrianSalter, Roe Schafer, Sue Schlachter, Mike Stengler, PamStewart, Pat Strader, Abby VanWieren, Lisa and RandyWyatt.

Our 3rd Annual Luau is July 16th, only a short timeaway, so if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, do it now.Special ticket price will be $8.00 through July 9th, then thecost goes to $12.00. Ticket price includes: pulled porksandwiches and all the sides, drink specials, games andentertainment. Be a Star Tonight Karaoke will be playing forus again this year. This event is open to all Members, theirchildren, grandchildren and qualified guest.

We have confirmation of booking the Fox RiverQueen paddleboat for Saturday, August 20th. We will takea ride on the Fox River. Please join us for our very first

Moose Cruise on the Mighty Fox. We set sail at 5:00pm fortwo relaxing hours. Tickets will be $20.00 for adults and$12.00 for children. Your ticket price includes: Moose Juice,Baby Moose Juice, Snacks and Scenery! We are reallyexcited about our first cruise and expect tickets to goquickly. This event is open to all Members, their children,grandchildren and qualified guests.

Our Annual Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday,September 10th. We plan on a 10-10:30 registration anddepart at noon. When we return to the Lodge we will havefood, pull poker hands and enjoy the music of the GoodTime Charlie Band! Please do not think that because youdon’t have a motorcycle you can’t participate in this function.The last few years we have had several groups join us invehicles and they have had a lot of fun.

We are selling Lottery Tickets again; get your ticketsbefore we run out! Next drawing is July 4th, 2011. Thewinning numbers from the April 15th drawing were 711 and456. We are still looking for winning ticket number 711.Please check your tickets and bring it into the Lodge tocollect the winnings. We will hold this open until October15th, 2011.

A few of us met up with the Kenosha Moose Riderson June 11th in Woodstock to get our Cruisin for the Heartbooks stamped. We continued onto Harvard and than hadto break away from the fun. Ask your bartender for a bookand join in the fun. The books are $10.00, limit 2 per person.This is a summer long Poker Run that includes 15 Lodgesin Illinois and Wisconsin. Travel by motorcycle, car orhowever you choose and visit other Lodges!

FOOD DRIVE FOR THE SALVATION ARMY Hunger knows no season as we all know. Eventhough the economy is turning around(they tell us),there are still many in need of a helping hand.

We will be collecting dry and canned goodsfrom July 1st through July 17th for the Salvation ArmyFood Pantry. If you would like to make a monetarydonation to go for providing milk, fresh fruit andvegetables, take an envelope from the rack in thelobby and turn it into the bartender.

ANNUAL GOLF OUTINGThe 2011 St. Charles Moose Annual Charity Golf Outing

is Saturday, August 13th, at the Pheasant Run Resort Course.This year we will be able to have a shot gun start around 1:30pm.We will all begin and finish about the same time.

Our goal is to raise money for Moose Local Charities andat the same time have fun doing it. For any outing to be asuccess it takes everyone’s support. The outing is open toMembers and any prospective Members. 18 holes of golf withcart, free use of the driving range, golf balls, tees, dinner and lotsof prizes, all for only $75.00 per person. So get your foursomestogether. This is a great opportunity to show your friends what theMoose is all about. As a bonus for early sign-up, one person ineach of the first 18 paid foursomes will receive a Moose logosand wedge. If anyone wishes to purchase additional Moose logosand wedges they are $40.00 each.
