We are changing our credit card and ACH processor to ParishSOFT, our parish and Diocesan database provider.
To ensure a successful transition, please completely fill out the white commitment card, include your checking account (voided check) or credit card information and return it to St. Brigid of Kildare. We do not retain any of your personal financial data so in order to continue your support we need your most current infor-
mation. This card will act as your 2018-19 Tapestry pledge, so please also include any donation you would like to give at Christmas and Easter. Your early reply will help us tremendously with the transition. Please return your completed card as soon as possible.
St. Brigid of Kildare Parish has been so blessed by God and our parishioners through their unwavering support of our vital and vibrant Tapestry Program. Thank you for your generosity and help in this important transition.
St. Brigid of Kildare Church—Dublin, OhioTwenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time—September 30, 2018
Please welcome Deacon Alfonso Gamez, who will be working with us at St. Brigid of Kildare as a transitional deacon throughout this year.
Deacon Alfonso Gamez, was recently ordained to the Transitional Diaconate for the Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina. Before entering seminary, he completed a bachelors degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2013. Since then, he has been enrolled in the priestly formation program at the Pontifical College Josephinum. Deacon Alfonso enjoys watching movies with his brother seminari-ans and discussing their theological themes. As he enters into his final year of seminary formation and final prepara-tions for Priestly Ordination, he looks forward to learning and growing from the St. Brigid community. By God's grace, Deacon Alfonso hopes to be ordained to the priest-hood on June 22nd, 2019 in Huntersville, North Carolina. Please keep him in your prayers and be assured of his pray-ers for you and your family as well. Watch for upcoming email gospel reflections written by Deacon Alfonso.
Let’s Have Dinner and Talk About Death
November 15, 2018Immke Room in Hendricks Hall6:00 – 8:30 PMRSVP by October 15, 2018
This might be the most unusual dinner invitation I have ever sent, but bear with me, I think we are in for a remarkable experience. I would be honored if you would take the time to join Msgr. Hendricks, attorney Michael Zaino, a physi-cian and me for dinner and to engage in this conversation. They will offer a few words that will, hopefully prompt us into some important conversations. We will explore the Catholic view of dying and death; options for the end of life care, and advanced directives according to the State of Ohio.
Talking about death and dying can be uncomfortable and difficult, yet perhaps no conversations are more profound or necessary for all of us. End-of-life decisions are among the most challenging we will ever face. This is not meant to be a morbid conversation, but instead a very human one where we consider what we want, both in life and during its end and look at in the context of our faith and values. Register on line at our website www.stbrigidofkildare.org or call the Parish Office. Each participant must complete a registration form. Online registration begins October 1st at 9 AM and ends October 14 at midnight. Space is limited to 64 people so don’t delay in registering.
