IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

PARISH OFFICE IS NOW OPEN - Please note that although we are open and present, it is a requirement that a face covering/mask be worn upon entering the building. Office Hrs: Mon—Fri from 8:30 am—3:00 pm

Fr. Vale’s Office Hours are from 9am - Noon on Mondays,

Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Phone: 802-438-2490 /email: [email protected].

CONFESSIONS—There are no scheduled times for Confes-sions until after the virus has passed. However, Father Vale is available to hear your confession if you desire. Please call the Parish Office to schedule an appointment.

OFFERTORY—As a reminder to us all, there is an opportuni-ty to sign up for ONLINE GIVING (see website) or call Nickie at the Parish Office. You may also mail in your offertory envelopes to 28 Church St, West Rutland, VT 05777. Thanks

BULLETINS Our bulletins will be published weekly. If you would like one mailed to you we can do that. Please call our office number and request that you get one mailed. They will also be put out on a table at the Rectory/Office Porch.

PRAYER—please continue to pray for those on our sick and homebound list. At this time, any additional medical issues may be a serious burden to them and their families.

FOOD SHELF SUPPORT—since we are not able to collect food on the first weekend of the month, you are encouraged to send a financial donation to the West Rutland Food Shelf. Make the check out to the WR Food Shelf, and mail it c/o Town Hall Offices, West Rutland, VT 05777. The need continues, but we must all stay safe, so a monetary donation is a preferred way to support them at this time.

SUPPORT— During this time of uncertainty, it is necessary not only for each of us to be attentive to directives that will hope-fully lessen the physical/medical impact of the virus; we must also be observant of friends, neighbors and others in our commu-nity. If you become aware of someone who is struggling or might need assistance, please call the rectory at 438-2490. Fami-lies may be in need of food, supplies or possibly pickup and de-livery of needed medical supplies or other necessities. If we are made aware of such need, we can make arrangements to get them the help they need. Thank You.

FIRST STEPS— I know it is a difficult time for many people financially, as well as for the churches, and I always encourage people to tithe first, and take care of their families. But I also want to give people the opportunity to support First Step if they are able. If you are able, set aside some of your spare change or cash in a zip lock baggie, bottle, or whatever container you choose, from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. You may drop off your collection after Father’s Day, June 21st, 2020, at the Parish Office. Thank you for your support. RESOURCES FOR MASS ONLINE/TV

KEEPING SUNDAY SACRED

Although public Masses have been suspended in our diocese,

there are still many ways we can give ourselves and our families

to the Lord on Sunday.

If you are living on your own, please remember that your prayers

are joined with the mystical Body of Christ, on heaven and on

earth — prayer is always an invitation to enter into community.

1. Our web page has links to the Diocese –check it out

www.westrutlandcatholic.org. The Burlington

Diocese website has numerous help and information

regarding COVID-19 and Mass Online:

www.vermontcatholic.org

2. Fr. Vale shares links to prayers and reflections on our

West Rutland and Proctor Catholic Churches Facebook

page.

3. For our Polish Community— National Shrine of Our

Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA – Masses and

Benediction etc. Services are in English as well as

Polish. The website is Czestochowa.us.

4. FORMED.org. the revolutionary digital platform that

gives you unprecedented access to video-based study

programs, feature films, audio presentations, and

eBooks from the Church's foremost presenters. Whether

fallen away or deeply engaged, at the parish or on the

go, FORMED helps you be spiritually nourished. To

sign up go to FORMED.org/signup.

In response to Governor Scott’s recent order for a phased restart of Vermont’s economy that balances the need to improve overall social and economic wellbeing with the need to prevent a resurgence of COVID-19 out-breaks, our church will be open for individual devotion and personal prayer only, unfortunately no sacraments are allowed at this time. Vulnerable populations should stay safe and stay home.

We will be rotating in alphabetical order each week as to which Church will be open, until something else changes. St. Stanislaus Kostka will be open Tuesday, May 26th and Friday, May 29th, from 11 am-1 pm.

Check the web and bulletins for updates, or call the Of-fice at 802-438-2490.

For the safety of everyone, the following protocols must be followed:

* Do not come in if you feel sick or run-

down.

* Everyone must wear a mask to enter. Gloves are encouraged.

* Please use hand sanitizer upon entry and ex-it.

* Limit your individual devotion and personal prayer to 30 minutes.

* Only 10 people are allowed in the church at one time, appropriately spaced unless it is one family unit that may sit together (each family member in the unit is counted towards the 10-

person limit).

* Pews will be clearly marked for appropriate

social distancing. Please sit in the clearly marked pew.

* Be conscious of the number of people in the Church and do not enter if there are 10.

* Please be respectful of your 30-minute time limit in prayer as there may be other people waiting to enter. If necessary sign-ups will be scheduled.
