SAVE the DATE August 7th to 11th 9:00am to 12:00pm

An Evening of Reflection with Fr. Thomas Berg

Fr. Tom is professor of moral theology and Vice Rector of St. Joseph's Seminary. He will join us to discuss his new

book Hurting in the Church: A Way Forward for Wounded Catholics. Far too many Catholics have had painful experi-

ences in the Church, and many have simply opted to walk away. Fr. Tom opens his book with the story of the painful and life-changing crisis he experienced in the Church that

ultimately, against the odds, led him to love the Church more intensely notwithstanding the sinfulness of its members. Along with his own story, Fr. Tom intertwines the stories of other Catholics who have themselves experienced life-changing hurts, but who, in Jesus, found healing. Riding the momentum of the Year of Mercy, he wants to offer us these reflections as a necessary examination of conscience, and a clarion call to Catholics to become heal-

ers of an ailing inner culture of our Church, to heed Pope Francis's call to incite a "revolution of tenderness" in our faith communities. Join us on March 22nd, 7pm Church

Basement.

The St. Augustine Social Action Committee will be holding its springtime blood drive on Sunday, March

26, from 8:45 am--1:30 pm in the Zoeller Center. Registration for the drive will be on Saturday and

Sunday, March 18-19, before and after all Masses in the Gathering Space. Walk-ins on the day of the blood drive

are always welcomed.

St. Ann Parish in Nyack, New York, holds a Bereavement Support Group the First Friday of the month from 10:00-11:30 at 16 Jefferson Street. All those who have lost a loved one, whether

it be spouse, child, friend or family are welcomed to this gentle, understanding and comforting group. Mass, benediction and rosary are available before the 12:10 mass in the Church just

across the street. We help each other through the darkness of mourning to learn to live again. The Winter-Spring 2017 calendar is April 7, May 5 and June 2.

Contact Arlene J. Melillo (845) 634-3882 for additional information.
