MASS AND NOVENA FOR ST. ANTHONY EVERY TUESDAY AT 12:00 NOON

Novena Prayer to St. Anthony of Padua O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for His creatures,

made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your

words, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this

thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer

may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus,

who loved to folded in your arms, and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glorybe.

BLESSED WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR

It is very appropriate that Christmas is followed one week later by the New Year. New Year’s is a time of renewal. It is a time when we can forget about the problems of our past and look forward to our blessings, hopes and promises for the future.

I would like to wish all of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Your intentions for the New Year are remembered in my prayers and Masses. May God bless you and your families throughout 2017. May this year bring you all the blessings and rewards you desire and may your endeavors be fruitful. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Fr. George

Mahrajan 2017 Update

New Year’s Greetings

I hope everyone enjoyed a blessed Christmas season and pray for the happiest of New Years. As most of you know, I am the Pastoral Council President and Chairperson for the 2017 Mahrajan. I’ve been working with many council members and parishioners, as well as the parish Knights of Columbus to research the feasibility of holding this event.

Volunteer support is the key to us moving forward with the festival. The more help we have, the more successful we will be. With enough support, we can meet our goal of limiting each volunteer to a three-hour block of time. This will enable everyone who helps to not only contribute to the festival’s success but also enjoy the event. Anyone interested in giving more time is welcome to do so; it will be greatly appreciated.

One of my goals in distributing this letter with the monthly bulletin is to let you know a designated group of parishioners will be contacting everyone over the next few weeks to ask for your help in support of the festival. Once we determine that we have the necessary support, we will look at more specifics-days, times, etc.-for the volunteers. Although I’m aware that not everyone is physically able to volunteer, I am hoping each of you will take this opportunity to join us in supporting both the festival and our vibrant community. I’m sure you agree that St. Anthony’s is a wonderful home for all of us, as well as our children and friends.

My other goal is, to confirm everyone’s contact information-mailing address, phone number and email-so the parish records are accurate. Please feel free to email or call me directly with this information; my email address and phone number are below. You can let me know if you’d like to volunteer, as well.

Up-to-date contact information will ensure that parishioners are kept apprised of our progress on the festival. It will also enable us to quickly and easily share updates between now and the event (June 9th and 10th). I realize some of you may not have an email address, or use it often. In these cases, please let us know if a family member or friend is willing to accept an email for you so we can keep you up to date.

It is a great honor for me to chair the 2017 Mahrajan and serve on the Pastoral Council. I will continue to work as hard as I can to make this festival a success for all of us! God’s blessings to you all Richard Toney [email protected] 860.670.3652
