Spotlight on Stewardship

August 14, 2016 Stewardship Reflection

Living a stewardship lifestyle means stepping out of

our comfort zone when needed. Many of us like to

play it safe, not cause waves, stay in the middle of

the road. In today’s world we are called to be

informed and take a stance for life, marriage and

religious liberty.

Ministry Spotlight The Loving Comforters

The Loving Comforters (TLC) and Good Neighbors

ministries have merged and will operate under the

name of TLC. These two ministries share a similar

mission and by combining them, we will be able to

share the duties as well as expand the ministry,

particularly to those experiencing the joy and chaos

of new life or the grief of a loss. The ministry will

continue to prepare and deliver meals to St. Anne

parishioners having just had a baby, those recovering

from an illness or surgery, or for a bereaved family

during the time of the funeral or wake. In addition,

TLC members will deliver welcome yard signs to the

homes of new St. Anne parishioners, to include new

babies, newly baptized babies or children, and RCIA

candidates coming into the church. If you would like

to join this ministry, please email Anne Dawahare at

[email protected].

St. Anne Community Outreach News Thanks to your generous donations, we have plenty of

winter clothing! We do currently need pants—jeans

and dress pants of all sizes. We also need recycled

plastic bags and egg carton containers. These items

can be dropped off Mon.-Thurs. from 8:30 a.m. until

Noon or on the third Sundays of each month (in

August: Aug. 20/21).

It’s Time to Register for Sunday School

Children in PK4 through 8th grades not attending

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School are expected to join us on

Sunday mornings for Religious Education classes. Classes

begin on Sun., Sept. 11 and will meet weekly from 9:15 to

10:15 am. Online Sunday School registration is open:

stannecsg.com/religious-education. Please contact St.

Anne Church’s Director of Children’s Religious Education

Sign Up for Youth Group

St. Anne Church's Middle and High School Youth Groups

are open to all 6th through 12th graders who are Catholic

or interested in learning about the Catholic faith. We use

Edge and LifeTeen, Catholic middle school and high school

youth ministry programs, to provide a safe, fun place for

youth to experience fellowship, get answers to questions

about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a

profound and personal way.

The youth typically meet on the second and fourth Sundays,

September through May—middle schoolers from 5:30 to

7 p.m. and high schoolers from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Food is

provided. Mark your calendar for our first 2016-2017

meetings: Sun., Sept. 11, 2016, and register online to

participate: stannecsg.com/youth-group.

Questions? Email Middle School Youth Group Coordinators

Brian & Jennifer Sillitto: [email protected]; or High School

Youth Group Coordinators Troy & Mary Denise Espiritu:

[email protected].

RCIA Starts in September

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process for

people thinking about becoming Catholic. By attending

weekly gatherings with like-minded individuals, you are able

to discern for yourself if Catholicism is right for you. The

2016-2017 RCIA program at St. Anne Church begins Wed.,

Sept. 21. Classes will meet weekly from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in

Visitation Hall. Learn more about RCIA and register online:

stannecsg.com/RCIA.
