St. Ann Society Meeting The St. Ann Society will meet on Monday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m. in Fr. Marendt Hall. Hostesses for the evening will be Carlena Jarboe, Pat McCleerey, Peggy Newton and Augusta Nugent. All women of our parish are warmly welcome and urged to attend. If you are unable to host, please contact an officer. We hope to see many of our church family there. Young Adult Ministry Meeting Young adult ministry ages 25-40. Sign up sheet for contact information is kept at the back of church. Parish Pastoral Council Meeting The St. Michael Parish Council meets on Thursday, May 1st at 6:00 p.m. in Fr. Marendt Hall. First Holy Communion St. Michael children will celebrate First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 4th. First Communicants are Samuel Ball and Zach Poehlein. There is a box in church for Catholic Charities. There are more requests

for help than there are funds available. Won’t you consider helping your brothers and sisters in this area by dropping a gift in the box.

Dogwood Festival at St. Pius April 27, 2014

Sunday, April 27TH, the Council of Catho-

lic Women will sponsor our annual

Chicken and Dumpling Dinner with all

the trimmings. Serving begins at

11:00a.m. in St. Pius Hall. There will al-

so be a quilt raffle and a bake sale. All

parishioners are asked to bring a cake

for the dinners and some other sweet treat for the bake

sale. Everyone is invited to attend and bring family, friends,

and neighbors for a great time, wonderful food and an op-

portunity for fellowship.

Faith Formation Sunday, April 20 EASTER BLESSINGS to each of you! Monday, April 21 – 6:00-7:15 p.m. SPRED gathering in Room 10. Wednesday, April 23 – 6:30 -7:30 p.m. Kindergarten closure with song performance for parents at 7:00 p.m. Grades 1-8 meet as usual.

Saturday, April 26 First Communion Class of Grade 2 meet in Parish Hall at 8:30 a.m. for a retreat followed by parent practice at 11:00 -12:00 noon. Next Sunday, April 27 11:30 AM Mass, 22 students in Grade 2 will experience the first recep-tion of Eucharist. Their names will be published in the next bulletin.

Picnic Sign-ups Next weekend, April 26/27 will be picnic sign-ups. Be thinking where you would like to work on picnic day. This is a huge fundraiser for our parish, so please share your time and talents with us! We cannot have a successful picnic without many volunteers. Greeting Cards & Stamps Blank Greeting cards with messages of “Thinking of You” or “Get Well” are needed for our outreach program for the sick. This very important ministry sends cards to those who are faced with illness or other challenges and have been placed on our prayer list. If you have any cards to do-nate, please drop them off at the Catholic Ministry Center, 824 Jefferson Street, Tell City. D of I Scholarship The Daughters of Isabella—Nativity Circle #710 will award a $500.00 scholarship to a high school senior from any high school. This award is based on financial need, academics, grade point average and extra-curricular activities (school, community, civic, religion). The length of col-lege or program will also be taken into consideration. The student must be a child or grandchild of a member of our circle.
