My dear friends, There are many things that we are frustrated with at the moment isn’t there… We can’t go have a quiet evening at our favorite restaurant, we can’t go to our favorite coffee shop and enjoy a cup of coffee, we can’t go over to a friends house share dinner and play cards. We can’t gather at our church building for worship, we can’t greet each other, give each other hugs, receive Holy Communion. I share those frustrations, and I would add that I am frustrated that I am not able to do face to face ministry, the visiting, seeing home bound, seeing people in their homes and the like. Yes this was a very different way to start a ministry. In our conversations (by phone and zoom) many of you have offered apologies to me for having to start ministry this way, but let me say to you… When I list my frustrations, accepting the call to St Andrew’s is not one of them. I continue to be grateful to be your pastor, I continue to give thanks to God for making this hap-pen… you are a blessing. Of course the virus is a frustration, but that has nothing to do with St. Andrew’s. You are a blessing, and I am proud to say that I am pastor of St. Andrew’s. Thank you!

THANK YOU! A great deal of thanks to everyone for the positive reaction to the ‘Virtual’ Chancel Choir Performance of Halle, Halle, Halle… A second ‘Virtual’ performance is in the works… Also…Attention all ‘New’ New Life Singers! You will be hearing from me soon. I’m hoping you will be interested in doing a ‘Virtual’ performance as well. We had been working on ‘Amazing Grace’, and I would very much like to put together a performance by our New Life Singers! If any members (or anyone else) are interested in being a part of this performance, please contact me at [email protected]. All the Very Best, Mark (Mr. Mark)

VIRTUAL VBS August 10-14

Attention Kids! Celebrate God's creation this summer with ReNew VBS. ReNew is 5-days of entertaining lessons, crafts, and music that empower kids to grow in faith, have fun, and change the world. Each day, we will explore Jesus’ Parable of the Sower with three age-appropriate activities that help kids learn how to care for God’s creation. Registration information will be coming out soon. For more information, feel free to contact the church office or our VBS Coordinator Bridget Masterson.

Bible Character Studies Beginning July 12th

Rising fifth graders—confirmation aged youth are invited to join Bonnie Leidy on Sunday evenings in July for an intriguing look into the lives and qualities of select people in the Bible. Each week you will read and discuss scriptures involving the chosen character. You will consid-er their actions and motivations, and develop a better understanding for the choices they made. The Character Studies, via Zoom, will be held Sunday evenings at 7pm on July 12, 19, and 26. Watch for log-in information in future mailings.

YOUTH PAGE Our thanks go out to Bonnie Leidy, Chandra Bleice, Stephanie Stoudt, Allison Berger, and Bridget Masterson for all of their work with our Faith Builders this year! On the left are pictures from some of the fun activities our youth did from home during the quarantine. Stay tuned! Plans are being made for additional activities over the summer!
