Saint Alphonsus School News
To the Wonderful Parishioners of St. ALs... As I retire from my position at St. Alphonsus Liguori School, I am reminded of how happy I have been for the past two and a half years being the principal of this school. I am forever grateful for meeting and personally getting to know the wonderful families of St. ALs. You have made me laugh and sometimes cry; most importantly, you have given me moments to treasure. I have been blessed to have worked with so many wonderful people who truly care for each other - like family! I appreciate your support and many prayers that have kept us going and keep us strong. It was a good journey and I am glad to have traveled it with you! St. Alphonsus Liguori will always have a cherished place in my heart. Please keep me in your prayers as you will always be in mine. May God bless you always. In my heart forever,
Linda Chorazy

• Enter your email and create a password (you need this to login later) READ/EBOOK/PRINT: THE YOUNG PEOPLE’S BOOK OF SAINTS -Ages 8 and up ABOUT: Learn more about the saints around the world whose feast days we celebrate this week: St. Boniface (European Countries-June 5); St. Norbert of Xanten (Germany-June 6); St. Willebald (Wessex, England-June 7); St. Columbia of Iona (Ireland-June7). Every saint is different, every one a unique personality. Each of them finds his vocation and destiny in a different way--teaching us that God has in mind for you and me a very special adventure that will be all our own. The purpose of our lives is to find that mission that only we can fulfill in the body of the Church, for the love of God and our neighbor. TESTIMONIAL: “So interesting to learn about all the saints that have gone before us. We certainly can admire and learn from their stories.” WATCH/LISTEN: HOSTIA ABOUT: This film offers an inspiring presentation with clarity of teaching about the Holy Eucharist and begins with the Gospel accounts of how Jesus Christ instituted the Eucharist. It explains how the sacrifices and offerings in the Old Testament prefigured the perfect and final sacrifice in Jesus Christ Himself—the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The constant belief of Christians in the Real Presence throughout history is clearly demonstrated along with examples of heroic witnesses for the Faith. TESTIMONIAL: “WELL DONE...LOVED IT… Even Catholics can "re-learn" about this central part of our faith. Beautiful, easy explanation that I wish our Protestant brothers and sisters would understand as well. It's all about faith and love and I have a deeper appreciation for our Mass and how I see it now.” WATCH/AMIMATED: THE MASS, A Life Giving Prayer (For Children) ABOUT: Rich in instruction and inspiration, Brother Francis: The Mass is a unique way of helping children experience the presence of Christ as they attend Mass. Testimonial: “This is another very good material. My first grade students love Brother Francis’. The approach of teaching captivates the little ones. God bless the makers of Brother Francis films.”
