GeneralDescription
The SSM and SSB side channel blowers directly coupled to the electric motor are the result of years of experience in the design and construction of fluid-carrying systems.
Versatility, reliability and sturdiness are the main characteristics of this series, which is suitable for many areas requiring high pressures or depressurization.
These blowers draw in fluid that, accelerated by the impeller, is pushed into the discharge where its speed is reduced, increasing the pressure.
The entire blower, housing and impeller, is made of die cast aluminium.The series is produced in the single stage SSM version (sizes 220 ÷ 240), in the dual stage, parallel SSB P version (sizes 300 ÷ 320) and in the dual stage SSB S series (sizes 400 ÷ 420).
On all sizes, the discharge and suction can be in the frontal position and are identified with the letter F (e.g., SSB 320 F).
The blowers can operate both horizontally and vertically in the two compressor or vacuum pump applications.
In standard execution, the blower can convey fluids up to a temperature of 80°C with arelative humidity of less than 80%.
The electric motors are enclosed with external ventilation and are the flanged type (B5).They are all three phase with voltage V 230/400 - V 400/690, frequency 50 Hz, or with voltage V265/460 - V 460/790, frequency 60 Hz. They have IP55 protection and insulating class F.
They can be supplied in the Atex group 3 category 2 efficiency class.
The performance of the SSM - SSB fans was measured with outlet ducting according to UNI 7179 - 73P fig. 1 and AMCA -85 fig. 7.
The impellers are statically and dynamically balanced with electronic equipment according to ISO 1940 grade G=2.5.
The selection curves are valid for fluid with a density of 1.2 kg/m3 which is equivalent to airconditions at 20°C at sea level.
The sound pressure values LP(A) are expressed in dB(A) and are measured in free field at a distance of 1.5 m with a free inlet and ducted discharge.
