2015 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCERediscovering the Spiritual in God’s Creation We propose holding an international conference in Adelaide on
12-15 March 2015 that seeks to generate a multidisciplinary perspective on the spiritual in creation, leading to fresh horizons with regard to liturgy, justice and discipleship.
The conference – tentatively entitled Rediscovering the Spiritual in God’s Creation – would seek to explore and uncover the spiritual dimensions innate in all aspects – human and non-human, local and cosmic – of God’s creation, recognizing the interconnectedness between the ecological, biblical, theological, scientific, and philosophical disciplines, with a view to preparing a contemporary charter that fosters and enhances worship, justice and discipleship within Christian communities committed to the care of creation.
The uniqueness of the conference is its focus on ecology and spirituality in all domains of creation with an orientation towards practical outcomes relating to the care and celebration of creation within faith communities.
