Closing Ceremony of LMST Swat At Hotel Swat Regency Mingora on June 24, 2014 After successful completion of five days residential training on LMST for community activists, the closing ceremony was held at Hotel Swat Regency on June 24, 2014, in which apart from Regional HRDO Swat, 25 men community activists (training participants) took part from UC Kishawra District Swat. Closing Ceremony of LMST Swat

After successful completion of five days

residential training on LMST for

community activists, the closing

ceremony was held at Hotel Swat

Regency on June 24, 2014, in which

apart from Regional HRDO Swat, 25

men community activists (training

participants) took part from UC

Kishawra District Swat. Mr. Saqalain

(District Sports Officer Swat) was also

invited for the occasion as chief guest.

The closing ceremony was started with

recitation from the Holy Quran,

performed by one among the training

participants.

Mr. Bahadur Ali (Regional HRDO Swat) thanked

the entire participants and also presented warm

welcome to the chief guest for sparing his

precious time for the event. He highlighted

vision, mission and working approach of SRSP

especially with regard to community

participation. He also briefed the chief guest

shortly about the five days residential LMST and

its contents. He asked the participants to

practically demonstrate the skills, what they

learnt during LMST, ensure involvement of

poorest of the poor in their community

institutions and also to strengthen their COs

further on sustainable basis. The entire

participants showed their keen interest and

committed.

The respected chief guest Mr. Saqalain (District Sports Officer Swat) while expressing his concluding remarks, he

added that SRSP has provided such type of training platform for learning in better environment, which indicates

towards encouraging local communities and thus the community participation in both in human and physical

development could be ensured to sufficient extent. He further added that through these capacity building

programmes and involvement of stakeholders on the last day of training would help in ensuring close coordination

between the line departments and concerned communities. He ensured all possible support to be extended by the

sports department on the basis of when and where required.

Mr. Farman Ali (President of Khuna Cham VO) one among

the training participants, while giving his feedback

regarding the five days residential LMST, he highlighted the

importance of community institutions. He was of the

opinion that CO is power, which could further lead us

towards brotherhood, collectivism and development. He

further expressed that we learnt a lot of about social

mobilization, development and community participation,

which we would onward practically demonstrate in our

COs at our local concerned communities. He on behalf of

all participants showed entire satisfaction with regard to all

logistic and training arrangements.

After successful completion of five days residential

trainings on “Leadership Management Skills

Training (LMST)” for men activists from different

community organizations of UC Balakot Tehsil

Behrain District Swat, the closing ceremony was

held, in which apart from Regional HRDO &

Regional MER, the staff from field office Behrain as

well as 50 men activists (training participants)

participated. Mr. Saleem, Divisional Audit Officer,

Ushar/Zakat & Social Welfare Department District

Swat was invited as chief guest.

Mr. Bahadur Ali (Regional HRDO, SRSP

Swat) presented warm welcome to the

chief guest and thanked him for his

active and timely participation in the

event. He further highlighted the SRSP

vision, mission and working approach

especially under EU-PEACE Project. He

also briefed the chief guest about five

days residential LMST training in detail.

He further added that we on behalf of

SRSP believe that communities have the

potentials to do a lot and the SRSP is

going to explore these potentials and

also desired that through these capacity

building training activities the

communities would be organized to

sufficient extent.

Mr. Pasham Khan one among the training

participants from UC Balakot (President of

Kas Mohalla Tanzeem), while presenting his

remarks as feedback of the LMST five days

residential training, he expressed his

feedback regarding five days LMST, he

added that we have now reached the

conclusion that CO is for CPI, but CPIs are

always for CO. He was also of the opinion

that we would onward focus on

strengthening of community organizations

and would develop strong liaison with other

departments and stakeholders.

Mr. Mana Dar one among the training participants from UC Balakot

(President of Sitara Taraqiati Tanzeem), while giving his feedback regarding

the five days residential training, he added that we had come for this training

to get more and more learning regarding strengthening community based

organizations and development. He also showed entire satisfaction about

training and logistic arrangements. He further added that during off timing

we got an opportunity to get together and discuss training contents, being

taught during the training, which could further lead us towards improving

our capabilities. He also requested for arranging such types of capacity

building trainings in future.

The chief guest then awarded

certificates to the training

participants.

The Respected Chief Guest Mr. Saleem (Divisional

Audit Officer from the department of Ushar/Zakat

and Social Welfare Swat) thanked SRSP staff as well

as the entire participants and appreciated the

activities being carried out by SRSP. He further shared

that we should focus on sustainable development

through community organizations. He also stressed

on proper utilization of the locally available

resources, through which they could improve their

COs economically. He also added that development is

a process, which starts slowly and gradually. He also

stressed on promoting and strengthening their local

based community organizations at grass roots level.

In the last he briefed the participants about the

departments of Ushar/Zakat and Social Welfare as

well as zakat disbursement procedures in detail and

told that how to make access to these departments.

Closing Ceremony & Certificate distribution of LMST

Swat Continental Hotel, Mingora, Swat Feb 22nd, 2014

Three groups of LMSTs each of 25 male pax were facilitated in the residential LMST at

Swat Continental Hotel, Swat starting from Feb 18th-22nd, 2014. Two groups from SOU

Khwazakhela and one from SOU Buner.

Closing ceremony was held in the hotel on Feb 22nd, 2014. Mr. Asfandyar Khattak(AC

Charbagh) and

Mr. Anwar ul Haq(AC Khwazakhela) were invited as chief guests, along with

Mr. Ijaz Ali (DPM Swat),

Mr. Bahar Ahmad (PO HRD Swat),

Mr. Ghulam Muhammad (Admin Officer-PSU Swat),

Mr. Dildar Ahmad (Team Leader Khwazakhela),

Mr. Ashraf (HRDO Swat),

Mr. Waqas Ali (SO Buner),

75 trainees and Three Master Trainers

” All the fourteen Sessions of LMST were very interesting and based

on practical approach, and were delivered effectively. SRSP polished

our skills and potential which will be helpful in our grooming as the

newly formed CO. Thanks to SRSP, We will prove our determination

and part of role,” Kamal Hussain-Trainee from Topi Welfare

Organization Chgharzai, District Buner shared.

Mr. Ijaz ali, DPM Peace Project explained the need and importance

of the capacity building approach and SRSP’s role of paying its

contribution. He asked the trainees to demonstrate the difference

they feel after completion of LMST.

He asked the trainees to show their level of confidence and

courage, because LMST is the session in which the individual can

enhance the ability of confidence.

He further explained role of Master trainers which is purely based

on volunteerism. Total 12000 men and women will be prepared and

developed as Master Trainers during the PEACE project from 100

UCs. He asked the existing audience over it, majority of the trainees

showed their willingness to be a volunteer through hand raise.

The assistant commissioner appreciated the way of

delivering trainings to lay men, who demonstrated such

confident remarks and ambitions.

He proudly announced that he had a mindset that such

organizations working on the capacity building, just waste

the budget else nothing, but SRSP changed his opinion,

because SRSP’s way of delivering and adopting the capacity

building trainings bring visible change in the trainees

capacity, who are ready to work as volunteer for the

betterment .

He further said that he has some expectations from the trained cadre of organized

communities to bring their community issues to his desk, however, those which need

to be addressed on priority basis and non important should be resolved locally, all the

trainees raised their hands and showed their willingness.

They willingly offered themselves for volunteer work as CRPs.

Khwazkahela presented his point of view over

leadership management training; he explained that the

leadership is based on two important factors of Vision

and Courage. Positive thinking & Confidence can bring

the leadership abilities.

“Ambitions required helping and supporting not only

this society but the generations, which we expect from

the organized communities like you”.

He was inspired by the participant’s emotions over the

philosophy of Linkages development.

Certificates were then distributed by the guests among all the LMST

trainees followed by group photos and snap shots preserved for the

purpose of long term memories recall. Words of thanks were paid from all

the participants to SRSP and EU for facilitation of training event.

Inviting different stakeholders like ACs in the case to the training and closing ceremonies is not only serve as source of motivation/encouragement for the

participants but also helpful and effective for awareness of these stakeholders about SRSP, Peace Project and its activities.

November 21, 2014

After successful completion of five days

residential trainings on “Leadership

Management Skills Training (LMST)” for

men activists from different community

organizations of UC Islampur District

Swat, the closing ceremony was held, in

which apart from Regional HRDO Swat

Region, 50 men activists (training

participants) participated. Dr. Iftikhar

ud Din (DMS, Saidu Group of Teaching

Hospitals Saidu Sharif Swat) also

participated in the occasion as chief

guest.

Mr. Bahadur Ali Regional HRDO Swat, while expressions his views, thanked the chief guest for sparing his precious time and timely

participation in the occasion. While expressing his views, he highlighted the SRSP vision and mission as well as working approach

and objectives to the specific training event. He further added that we on behalf of SRSP are trying our best to organize and

facilitate such types of training events with all possible arrangements. He also added that we believe that communities have

potentials to do and the SRSP is going to explore these potentials in the shape of organized communities.

Mr. Inzar Gul (President of Tor Kamar Falahi Tanzeem),

while giving his feedback regarding the five days

residential training of LMST, he was of the opinion that it

was learning environment for all of us, where we got a lot

of skills regarding community development and social

mobilization. He also added that after getting this training

we are now able to get to know about our duties/rights,

rules and responsibilities. He further added that we will

onward convey the SRSP core message to the concerned

communities.

Mr. Nadeem Khan (Member of Al-Khidmat Falahi Tanzeem) among the training

participants, while giving his feedback regarding the five days residential LMST

training, he added that SRSP provided us platform, where we can sit together

for building our capacities, which could onward help us in community

development. He also showed entire satisfaction from the CRPs methodology

of effective training delivery by adapting brainstorming and participatory

measures.

The Respected Chief Guest (Dr. Iftikhar ud Din, DMS Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals Saidu Sharif Swat) during his speech

thanked SRSP and the entire participants. While expressing his concluding remarks he added that we are in close

coordination with SRSP in various activities and interventions. He was of the opinion that there is no doubt that the SRSP

interventions have brought visible change in community development, which onward lead towards sustainable rural

development. He further briefed the participants regarding dengue prevention and added that last year 12000 to 13000

dengue casualties were occurred, while this year only 308 cases have been recorded. Thereafter he delivered a briefed

participatory lecture by involving the participants. Questions / Answers session was also held, during which several were

raised by the participants, which were clarified by the chief guest with the entire satisfaction of the participants.

The chief guest then awarded certificates to the training

participants.

which apart from SSO & Regional

HRDO Swat, 50 men activists (training

participants) participated. Mr. Anwar

ul Haq Khan (Assistant Commissioner,

Khwazakhela Swat) also participated

in the occasion as chief guest.

Mr. Bahadur Ali Regional HRDO Swat, while expressions his views, he

thanked the chief guest for timely participation in the occasion. He further

highlighted the SRSP mission, vision and overall goal of the EU-PEACE

Project. He also added that we on behalf of SRSP are trying our best to

organize and facilitate such types of training events with all possible

arrangements. He also added that we believe that communities have

potentials to do and the SRSP is going to explore these potentials in the

shape of organized communities.

When the participants were asked to present their views

regarding the five days residential training, one among the

training participants while expressing his feedback regarding the

five days training, he added that the entire participants are fully

satisfied on all the training arrangements made for them during

the training. He was also of the opinion that these training events

are very important for building of self confidence among the

training participants. Another training participant, while

expressing his feedback, he added that we all would onward

work together as organized communities for sustainable

development of our local communities through self help

initiatives.

Mr. Dildar Ahmad (SSO, SOU Swat) also expressed his views and

added that the SRSP is going to explore the potentials of the

communities, which seems good steps towards sensitizing the local

communities and building their self confidence, which will lead

them towards sustainable development.

participants, while giving his feedback regarding the five days residential LMST training, he

appreciated the whole training and especially attitude and lecture methodology of resource

persons. He was also of the opinion that the resource person who delivered the training

belongs to our local community that’s why that he is familiar and known to us, which

indicates towards achieving the visible impact of the training.

his feedback regarding the five days

residential training of LMST, he added that

the things what I learnt during this five

days training, have never learnt during my

sixteen years of education career. He

further added that we now got a lot of

about social mobilization, development,

brotherhood and collectivism.

during his speech thanked SRSP staff and the entire

participants. While expressing his concluding remarks

he was of the opinion that through these capacity

building events, the confidence among the training

participants is being built. He further stressed the

participants to carry out their CIs documentation

strong and keep close coordination with different

stakeholders and departments and also mobilize

sources and resources by utilizing all possible efforts

and active linkages development both internal and

external. He also asked the participants to come

forward and get the training of master trainers so

that to produce potential community resource

persons, on the response of which the participants

showed their keen interest by raising their hands.

Proceedings

At 12:30 noon activity started with Recitation by a trainee from UC Miandam followed by formal starting of the event by Mr. Tariq Zaman (Master Trainer-Buner). Some of the trainees were then invited to share their experiences regarding the LMST and its implications.

He thanked SRSP for providing precious applied training for them through easy way. Training was very informative as it was delivered by local Master Trainers from their own area and locality. He added that the practical approach of the training is far better and different from just information and knowledge. “We need just guidance which SRSP provided, now it’s our responsibility to share our contributions in providing the social services to our poor and neglected society”. “We will start saving and will rely upon over self help initiatives and in case of support will create linkages with the concerned department and organizations”.
