ANNUAL REPORT (2016-17)

Association for Instrumentation Majors, AIM in short, a Technical Association for

overall development of students is an initiative of department of EIE. The department of EIE

believes in Teamwork. AIM is a platform for each and every student of EIE to develop intrinsic

motivation in students, organize many student-led activities by which team spirit is promoted.

AIM involves all the students of the department in various team and fun events. During

this academic year, there were many programs conducted in various categories for II, III & IV

year students.

In the meeting conducted on 01-08-2016, the activities for the academic year 2016-17

were finalized. Following are the statistical data regarding the number of events conducted for

academic year in two phases :

Co-Curricular Activities:

Various career awareness programs like IQ Mania, Circuit Solving, Logo Quiz &

Captions, Crazy Words, and Techno Hunt , were conducted for students to enable them to be on

par with present competitive world.

Event 1: IQ Mania was conducted on 16-08-2016 for II and III EIE students to help them prepare

for campus Interviews.

Event 6:

A mega Poster Presentation event, was conducted on 07.03.2016 for II and II year EIE

students. This projects the ideas of students. Its motto is to extract the technical skills from

Details of extra-curricular Events:

Various fun events like Art Gallery, Mehandi Desgning, Rangoli, Movie Mania, Cricket,

and Kabbadi were conducted to bring out the hidden potential of the students and to promote

team spirit and leadership qualities among students.

A total of 12 events were organized by the AIM, the activities of the association ended

with a Valedictory Function on 15-05-2017. On this occasion Dr. I. Sudharsan Kumar Chief

Operating Officer, Dr. P. C. Krishnamachary, Principal, and Dr. Subash, Dean (Academics),

graced the occasion and distributed prizes to the class toppers and winners of various events.
