a word for 9 months, so he uses a notepad to
communicate. His parents are proud of him because
they think it shows conviction, whereas Frank looks

Richard is horrified / stunned. He can’t believe his ears
and he’s gaping because he thinks Olive is too young to
hear about suicide / to hear the truth. He thinks Sheryl
shouldn’t talk about suicide to a child.
However, although he wants Sheryl to stop speaking,
she keeps explaining.
Franck tried to commit suicide because he was
unhappy. Actually, he fell in love with a boy who didn’t
love him back, and he was fired from his job.
Olive is very surprised because she didn’t know a boy
could fall in love with another boy.
