ALROY BAKERChen kwen mantumi kwis tsixwntumi-yap ta emut na7 ta letam tl'a Siyamin tkwi xa7utsen syelanm ta skwxwu7mesh

stelmexwchet. I would like to "Gratefully Thank You" for your support for the past four years at the table of "Chief &

Council" of our Squamish People. If re-elected to the table I will continue to do my best to conduct myself as our past

Chief and Councillors have done to help our Squamish People. As I am only l (one) seat at the table I believe in those

that are willing to help themselves in order to help their fellow members. Ones with their own business is very

uplifting to each member to have their education complete and come work for our Nation. Not necessarily needing an

education to run a business but the knowledge of how it should be run. As my "Teachers" have shared with their

experiences, I will continue to help all communities with any type of work. Either professionally, if I'm capable, and

traditionally. Learning from those that follow our traditions closely has taught me to be Humble and Respectful.

Doing so, when one may be lost, has sent them on a path to solving any problem when followed correctly. Chen wa

tel't ti skwxwu7mesh snichim-chet tina tl'a swa7amchet iy nexwusaylh ti stsi7s. I have learned our Squamish

language from our ancestors and teachers today. I am always learning new words/phrases to help and share with all

our families. Having taught since 1986 has kept my Spirit young with the new students coming into my life and

classroom. To see the teachings have not been forgotten by way of their behavior in the classroom. And their

sharing!! With any of our pressing issues within our nation I will sit with you and come up with a solution for either

oneself or the betterment of the whole Squamish Nation. It will need all voting members to discuss and decide on the

bigger picture for us in the future.

RICHARD “RITCHIE” BAKERAll Nation affairs must be fully transparent. I will do everything in my power to ensure that our Membership is

involved and informed of all major decisions affecting our lands and our business transactions. • I will bring renewal

to how our leadership treats our lands and I will honour our ancestors and our future generations by ensuring that

we make the most effective, productive, and profitable use of our lands. I will do everything in my power to prevent

any outside ownership of our lands, or of any buildings on our lands. I will do everything in my power to stop any

ARE COUNCIL FULFILLING THEIR PROMISES????

Are they doing what you voted them in for?

Where is our General Meeting?

Why is council making “best interest decisions”? Are we only useful to them at election time?

When do we get a say?
