Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate Size: 6½” wide x 52” circumference Materials: Cascade Yarns® Spuntaneous Worsted Effects 100% Extrafine Merino Wool 100g (3.5 oz)/209 yds (190m) 2 skeins color #305 (Grey) Crochet Hook Size G (4.25 mm) Yarn Needle Gauge: 9 puff sts x 12 rows = 4” (10 cm) Unblocked, in Rows 2-3 Pattern

Abbreviations: Bpdc = Back post double crochet Ch = Chain stitch Ch sp = Chain space Dc = Double crochet Fpdc = Front post double crochet Hdc = Half double crochet Lp(s) = Loop(s) RS = Right Side Sk = Skip Sc = Single crochet Sp = Space Sl st = Slip stitch Tr = Treble crochet YO = Yarn Over Special Stitches: Puff Pattern Stitch: (YO, draw up lp approx. ½” high) twice, draw new lp through all 4 lps on hook. Begin Pattern: Ch 31. Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 4th ch from hook and in next ch, (ch 1, sk next ch, work puff st in next ch) 11 times, ch 1, sk next ch, hdc in each of last 3 chs; ch 1, turn. (11 puff sts, 6 hdc)

Row 2: Hdc in same st as turning ch, bpdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc, (ch 3, sk next puff st, sc in next ch sp) 10 times, ch 3, sk next puff st, hdc in next hdc, bpdc in next hdc, hdc in last hdc; ch 1, turn. (11 ch lps, 4 hdc, 2 bpdc) Row 3: Hdc in same st as turning ch, fpdc in bpdc, hdc in next hdc, (ch 1, work puff st in next ch lp) 11 times, ch 1, hdc in next hdc, fpdc in bpdc, hdc in last hdc; ch 1, turn. Row 4: Hdc in same st as turning ch, bpdc in fpdc, hdc in next hdc, (ch 3, sk next puff st, sc in next ch sp) 10 times, ch 3, sk next puff st, hdc in next hdc, bpdc in fpdc, hdc in last hdc; ch 1, turn. Repeat Rows 3-4 until piece measures approx. 52”. Tug gently lengthwise before measuring to settle sts. Repeat Row 4. Finishing: Fasten off, leaving long end for sewing. Sew ends together to form a circle. Edging (work 2): With RS facing, join yarn in side of any st, [(ch 1, hdc) in side of same st, sl st in side of next st] evenly around, join with sl st in 1st hdc.
