W H E R E W E ’ V E C O M E F R O MFROM THE START, Spruce Meadows — the dream — provided a unique canvas to paint upon. The dream of the Southern family from the start was to create a unique environment of “good friendship, good commerce and good sport”. This dream has been shared from its genesis by a committed group of corporates, volunteers, media, athletes, exhibitors and fans. Spruce Meadows has evolved into a venue containing over twenty buildings; eleven permanent stables, two indoor arenas, Congress Hall, British House, HD Television production suite, tournament center, administrative offices, maintenance and storage buildings – all encompassed within 550 acres.

W H E R E W E ’ R E G O I N GTHE ROAD AHEAD for Spruce Meadows is a road that has been well thought out, carefully surveyed, and designed with considerable detail to ensure longevity and durability. The horse will, of course, remain central in the affairs of Spruce Meadows – directly or indirectly, the horse touches everything that is Spruce Meadows, and it will continue to be celebrated and cherished.

Spruce Meadows was awarded the “Best Event” on numerous occasions and awarded the “Top Tournament” by the North American Riders Group in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014.

Spruce Meadows has also been awarded a Certificate of Excellence and recognized - for the second consecutive year - as #1 of 220 Calgary and Area attractions by the world’s largest travel site.

THE INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS MARKET is an integral part of the unique seasonal celebrations at Spruce Meadows. Fashioned after traditional European Christmas Markets, over 290 booths are offered in the indoor comfort of the Spruce Meadows Riding Hall, Equi-Plex, Gallery on the Green, Reindeer Alley and Candy Cane Lane. From world-imported items to hand-crafted gifts, the appeal of the International Christmas Market is simple: stress-free shopping in a beautiful, festive environment featuring unique gift ideas. Our outdoor courtyard also features additional, more individualized, exhibit opportunities with our HÖcker tents and Gardenhaus’.

Shoppers at this event are particularly motivated and are eager to find that perfect gift for their loved ones!
