Friday Apr. 20 2018 Estill County Fairbarn Eat at 6 - Speakers start at 6:30 Please join the Estill County Democrats for our 2018 Spring Rally. Attendees will be able to gather information and connect with those running for office. There will be local, 6th District US, and State 91st District candidates speaking. You can’t have a gathering in the south without a feast! Ham sandwiches along with coffee and tea will be provided. There will be pop and water for sale. Please bring a side dish or dessert as we’re doing this the potluck way. Not only will you get a chance to connect with fellow democrats and candidates, but you might win some money, too! Test your luck with Split the Pot and share your love with Pass the Hat. It’s going to be a great night of fellowship. We hope to see you there! ABOVE: Hunter Bingham connects. Congrats! BELOW: Eight year old Kandon Crowe killed a turkey on Saturday which was the first day of turkey season. Crowe was hunting with his uncle Zach Reece. AT RIGHT: The Estill Coun- ty Middle School Youth Services Center recently hosted the Estill County Re- ality Store (sponsored by the ECMS/YSC, West Irvine In- termediate Family Resource Center, and the Estill County Extension Service). During the Reality Store 5th and 8th grade students were given the opportunity to receive a pre- tend job, salary, and family. Students visited a wide vari- ety of booths representing all the bills that a family would have to pay each month. The students objective was to visit all the booths and pay these bills, supporting their family in the best means that they possibly can. We would like to extend a special grati- tude of appreciation to all the parent, community, and business partners for volun- teering to operate our booths and support this project.
