Missions

Acts 13: 47 For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles, that You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’” 48 When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. (NASB) Paul felt convicted to do missions. He felt he needed to do it for two reasons. In this verse Paul is telling the church why he is there. He was there to preach. He was there because the Lord commanded him to be there. There is no greater sense of fulfillment in life when you realize why were born and that your life has meaning. As a Christian we need to find fulfillment in knowing that God has placed us in this world to be a light. As Christians we cannot rest until we have preached the Gospel to everyone in this world. We know that not everyone will be saved, but we cannot stop trying to bring everyone to know Christ. - David

From the Elders

(Luke 18:16) But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God”. Well, February 15, was Tim Yaeger’s final day to serve as our children’s minister. The good news is that Tim, Katie and the whole Yaeger gang are still part of our church family at Riverchase! Sincerely, thank you Tim and Katie for your energetic, very creative and dedicated work with our most precious blessing, our children. As Tim begins the new work with World Bible School we pray our Father will richly bless his efforts. We all know that “children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3) Please keep in your prayers our search for the new minister. Also, please know all scheduled children’s events and service opportunities are continuing as scheduled. Leading the charge are our Children’s Deacons along with Tim, Katie and many other involved parents. Much more to follow… stay tuned.

Molder of Dreams Banquet

I HATE SATAN What motivates you to live a healthy and Jesus-focused life? What/Who are demotivators to you? We all are aware of Satan’s onslaught attacks on us. Do you ever get sick and tired of him whipping you and/or your family and friends? Fight Back!!!! Surround yourself with Scripture. Surround yourself with inspirational thoughts. Surround yourself with people who genuinely care about your spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Minimize your time in the presence of negativity. Choose today whom you will serve. Think about the things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy, and dismiss yourself from the junk. You are incredibly valuable. God said it, and I believe it. Do you? You were bought at the highest price possible; the blood of His one and only Son. No sum of money even comes close to the amount He paid for you. I hope it’s not a secret that we are here to help. We are in the same boat. Let’s not wait until we are drowning to reach out for help. (That part comes from Peter walking on water. Read it...Good Stuff) I know that we can all be hard headed and stubborn at times and think that we can work through our struggles on our own, but that typically does not ever work out too well for us, does it? Incredible ministries are in place to help you on your journey. I am praying for you. Will you pray for me, too? I love you all. Let’s point others to Jesus!!! Scott Pruitt
