TOWN CENTER

April is the month when

leaves turn green and flowers

bloom again. It officially

starts feeling like spring, and

what better way to celebrate

than by signing up for some

great activities and events.

(I may be biased though, because I believe that outings are a great

way to celebrate anything.) ;-) April tends to be an action-packed

month and with it comes a plethora of holidays and observances

that focus on health, the arts, reading, and community. Just pick a

day that works with your schedule, check the calendar (or plan a

festivity of your own), and rustle up the posse for an activity

centered around a day that reinforces your friendships and the

return of spring. Be sure to attend the miniature Fairy Garden

Workshop. Chances are, you’ll have fun, Learn something and

beautify your entry way in the process. Finally, Spring is here!

BY THESEA

April is National Volunteer month and to

celebrate volunteers and volunteering

join us for... the Decorating Committee

which meets every Wednesday each

month and bring in great ideas for

decorating and the Community Life

Committee which also meets each

Wednesday for planning the upcoming

holidays, events and outings.

April 22 is Earth Day and to honor

Mother Earth we will be doing the

following events... A miniature Fairy

Garden Workshop. The first day of the

workshop is an orientation day. We will

go over all the steps and what it takes to

make a Fairy Garden. All the items will

be provided such as; container, soil,

decorative rocks and stones and plants.

I hope to see you at the Workshop....

Path to Well-Being

Shamrocks, leprechauns, Green Champagne and Bailey's in our coffee

topped with whipped cream were a welcome addition to our St. Patrick's

Day Brunch. Whatever your reason, there's something for everyone to enjoy

about celebrating St. Patrick's Day. We all changed the clocks because it

was time to "spring" forward. Celebrations this month included a Mardi

Gras "Fat Tuesday" themed dinner, Ash Wednesday, National Women's and

Girls Scouts Day. Excursions for March were; LB Playhouse, Edwards

Theater, Irvine Museum, Whale Watching, SOKA, OC Event Center,

Lawrence Welk Theater, The Bead Store in Carlsbad with lunch following.

Edwards Aliso Viejo Movie Theater, Bead Store in Carlsbad with a lunch in

town, & Pacific Symphony. May your troubles be less and your blessings

be more and nothing but happiness come through your door!
