 Global Motion is a world dance performance company that expresses the concept of humanity in the form of globalcitizenship. The company is composed of SMC students who learn, rehearse and perform world dance styles. It providesstudents a platform to experience and learn about other cultures through world dance while working with choreographers whoare professionals and experts in the field of world dance. Directors:  Raquel Ramirez and Sri Susilowati.

Faculty Choreographers: Seda AybayOwens, Laura Canellias, Kealii Ceballos, Angela Jordon, Raquel Ramirez, LauraSmyth. 

Guest Choreographers: IWen Chang, Peter de Guzman. 

SMC Student Choreographers: Natalie Brown, Katie McCulla, Emily Queliz, Daniel Salgado.  Dance Styles: West African, Central/South America, Asian, Ballet, Ballroom, Flamenco, Mexican Folklorico, Lyrical Jazz,Salsa, and more!

Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 7:30 pm  General Admission: $18, AttheDoor: $20 • SMC Performing Arts Center • The Broad Stage • 1310 11th St., Santa Monica, CA 90401    For over 40 years, Synapse Dance Theater, Santa Monica College Contemporary Dance Ensemble, has contributed to the cultural life of Los Angeles by offeringinnovative dance presentations on campus, in schools, as well as area theaters. The performance showcases new repertory by guest and faculty artists, andstudent choreographers.  Directors: Jae Lee and Mark Tomasic Faculty Choreographers: Seda AybayOwens,  Angela Jordon, Jessica Kondrath, Jae Lee, Brain Moe.

Guest Artists: Nate Hodges, Michael Nickerson Rossi. 

SMC Student Choreographers: Ashley Kayombo, Katie McCulla, Tin Nguyen, Derrick Paris, Jordan Slaffey.  

Dance Styles:Modern, Postmodern, Jazz, Contemporary Ballet, Hip Hop, Fusion, and more!
